    [0001] The present invention relates to an ice skate.
    [0002] In particular, the present invention relates to an ice skate, either of the type used in figure skating or of the type used in speed skating.
    Art Note
    [0003] Ice skates usually comprise a frame carrying a blade and a shoe mounted on said frame.
    [0004] In particular, according to the known solutions, the shoe of the shoe is generally fixed to the frame in the area of the toe and in the heel area.
    [0005] Therefore, even if the blade of the skate itself has a certain flexibility, so that it is possible to bend slightly in curves, the presence of the shoe fixed in two distinct and separate points increases the rigidity of the shoe and deteriorate the flexibility of the lama.
    [0006] An excessive rigidity of the skate can lead to a low precision in the guide of the skate, in particular when it bends, since it is difficult to make the skate easily follow curved paths with reduced bending radii. For example, the skates used in the practice of the "short track" according to the prior art must be provided with curved blades, since - again due to the excessive rigidity - skates with straight blades would not be able to follow the curvature of the tracks to ring typical of the "short track". It is clear that the need to provide curved blades makes the production process more complex and expensive.
    [0007] The main object of the present invention is to provide an alternative solution to the known art, which allows to obtain a skate with a better precision in driving, while ensuring a high stability.
    [0008] Another object of the present invention is to provide a skate which allows the user to easily handle curves with reduced bending radii.
    [0009] These and other objects are achieved by an ice skate according to the invention, as claimed in the attached claims.
    Description of the invention
    [0010] According to the invention, the ice skate comprises a frame that carries a blade and a shoe, in which said shoe is fixed to the frame of the shoe through a fixing portion provided between the sole of said shoe and said frame in a substantially central area in the longitudinal direction of the frame, between the front end of the skate blade and the rear end of the skate blade.
    [0011] Thanks to this configuration, the presence of the shoe does not worsen the flexibility of the skate blade.
    [0012] Thanks to its reduced rigidity, the skate according to the invention can easily follow the trajectory along curves with reduced bending radii.
    [0013] In particular, by adopting the configuration of the invention it is advantageously possible to make skates for the practice of the "short track" with straight blades, avoiding the need to mount curved blades.
    [0014] Again thanks to the configuration according to the invention, the stability of the skate is also increased. This is particularly advantageous in ice skates used for speed skating, which have longer blades.

    [0015] Advantages and features of the invention will be apparent from the following description of a preferred embodiment of the invention, given by way of non-limiting example, with reference to the attached Figure showing a side view of an ice skate according to the invention.
    Description of a preferred embodiment of the invention
    [0016] With reference to the attached Figure, the ice skate 21 according to the invention comprises a frame 25 which is made of metal, for example aluminum, and carries a blade 27 which extends downwards from said frame.
    [0017] A shoe for shoe 23 provided with a sole 23a and suitable to be worn by the user of the shoe 21 is fixed to said frame 25 through a fixing portion 29.
    [0018] According to the invention, said fixing portion 29 is fixed to the frame 25 in a zone F ́ which is arranged in a substantially central position in the longitudinal direction of said frame, between the front end of the blade 27 and the rear end of the blade 27.
    [0019] According to the invention, the shoe 23 is fixed to the frame 25 exclusively through said central fixing portion 29.
    [0020] With respect to the known solutions in which the shoe is fixed to the frame both in the area of the toe and in the heel area, since the shoe 23 is fixed to the frame in a single fixing area F ́, which is in in the central position both with respect to the shoe 23 and to the frame 25, the rigidity of the shoe 1 can be reduced, thus improving the precision of the guide of the shoe, in particular when it bends.
    [0021] Thanks to its reduced rigidity, the skate according to the invention is able to easily follow the trajectory along curves having reduced curvature radii. This is particularly advantageous, for example, in the skids used for the practice of the "short track", since the configuration according to the invention makes it possible to eliminate the need to use curved blades for managing the reduced bending radii typical of the rings of the short track ». However, it should be noted that, according to alternative embodiments which do not form part of the present invention, the shoe could be fixed to the frame also through a further fixing portion, in particular at the area of the toe of the foot.
    [0022] This alternative configuration can be incorporated in ice skates for speed skating, of the type in which the user's heel can separate and move away from the skate blade during skating.
    [0023] In this type of skates the shoe is rotatably fixed to the frame in correspondence with the additional fixing portion in correspondence with the area of the toe of the foot and is removably fixed to the frame in correspondence of the fixing portion in correspondence with the area central, so that the heel of the shoe can move away from the skate blade during skating.
    [0024] In this type of skates, thanks to the configuration described above, not only the pad allows the user to easily manage curves with reduced bending radii, but also allows to obtain better performance in terms of power transmission and speed.
    [0025] Still with reference to the attached figure, in the preferred embodiment shown the fastening portion of the boot 23 to the frame 25 comprises a support 29 integral with the shoe 23 and fixed to the frame 25 at the fastening area F ́.
    [0026] Alternatively, it is evident that the support 29 could be integral with the frame 25 in this zone F ́ and fixed to the sole 23a of the shoe 23.
    [0027] Advantageously, the support 29 is preferably tapered towards the front portion of the frame, that is towards the area of the tip of the shoe 23, thus ensuring a comfortable posture of the user's foot and allowing the transmission of optimal power by the user to the skate .
    [0028] It will be apparent to the person skilled in the art that, although the skate shown in the attached figure is a skate for speed skating, the invention can advantageously be incorporated into any type of skate, including skates for figure skating.
    [0029] In general, it will be apparent that the skate described above with reference to the preferred embodiment of the invention has been given purely by way of example and that numerous variations and modifications can be made without departing from the scope of protection of the invention as defined in the appended claims. For example, the shape and the materials of the various components of the skate, that is of the shoe of the skate and of the frame, can be chosen from time to time so as to best achieve the specific needs of the manufacturer or user user, without departing from the scope of protection of the invention as defined in the appended claims.

Ice skate (21) of the type comprising a frame (25), from which a blade (27) extends downwards, and a shoe (23) provided with a sole (23a), said shoe (23) being fixed to said frame (25) by means of a fixing portion (29), characterized in that said fixing portion (29) is located between said sole and said frame in a substantially central area in the longitudinal direction of said frame, between the front end of said blade (27) and the rear end of said blade (27) and said shoe (23) is fixed to said frame (25) exclusively at said central fixing portion.

    2. Ice skate (21) according to claim 1, wherein said fixing portion comprises a support (29) integral with said shoe (23) and fixed to said frame (25).
