Technique Field
[001] The present invention relates to improvements in or in relation to a rear structure for a vehicle of the type to be assembled. Prior Art
[002] A vehicle of the type to be assembled is known in that a support of side bag support to support a side bag in which an article is accommodated is provided in a rear part of the vehicle (referring, for example, to the Document of Patent 1 (Figures, 2, 3 and 5)).
[003] As shown in Figures 2, 3 and 5 of Patent Document 1, side pocket support supports 55L and 55R (each numeral in parentheses represents a reference symbol used in Patent Document 1: this similarly applies also to the following description) are individually coupled to 125L and 125R grab rail supports and 97L and 97R ramp foot supports provided on one side of the vehicle body (50). If the shape of the side pocket support supports is changed, then it is necessary to change the positions of the vehicle body side coupling parts every time. If the positions of the vehicle body side coupling portions are changed, then it is necessary to prepare a plurality of vehicle body structures in which the positions of the vehicle body side coupling portions are changed. In addition, in order to pass a plurality of vehicle body structures while the predetermined assembly productivity is maintained, significant remodeling of the main assembly line is sometimes necessary.
[004] A technology that can suppress the increase in types of vehicle body structures even when various coupling parts such as side pocket support supports are different between different car models and variations of car models is desired. Prior Art Document

[0016] According to the invention as represented in claim 7, the side pouch includes a container part and a lid part that covers the container part; and a plurality of vertical ribs to allow the lid portion to be guided and fitted to extend to the container portion in a direction where the lid portion is fitted and a horizontal rib to prevent water from entering in a perpendicular direction the direction in which the vertical ribs extend.
[0017] Effect of the Invention
[0018] In the invention according to claim 1, the rear part of the motorcycle has the support support part provided in the vehicle body structure and supports the support member therein and the various parts are selectively coupled to the support member .
[0019] As an assembly procedure for the vehicle body structure, the side bag support member is attached to the support member or the side bag support member and the carrier member are attached to the support member. Then, the support member to which the lateral rear support member is attached to the support member to which the side pocket support member and the carrier member are attached is coupled to the support support part of the vehicle body structure.
[0020] One or two selected parts can be attached to the support member and the common support member to which the various parts are attached is attached to the support support part of the vehicle body structure. As the coupling parts of the various parts are fixed by the common support member and coupled to the vehicle body structure, the increase in the number of types of the vehicle body structure can be suppressed and the cost of the vehicle can be reduced.
[0021] In the invention according to claim 2, the rear part of the motorcycle includes the support support part provided in the vehicle body structure and supports the support member therein and the various parts are selectively coupled to the support member .
[0022] As an assembly procedure for the vehicle body structure, at least two of the side bag support member, the handle and the carrier member are attached together to the support member and the support member to which at least two or three of the parts described above are fixed by the fixing member which is fixed to the supporting support part of the vehicle body structure.
[0023] As the various parts are coupled to the supporting support part of the vehicle body structure through the common support member, the increase in the number of types of the vehicle body structure can be suppressed. As a result, the increase in the number of types of the vehicle body structure can be suppressed and the cost of the vehicle can be reduced. In addition, also where variations in the car model increase, a significant change to a production line is not necessary.
[0024] In addition, compared to an alternative case in which at least two of the parts are individually attached to the vehicle body structures or at least two of the parts are individually attached to the support members, if two or all three of the parts are attached together to the support member as in the present invention, hours of installation work can be suppressed and the reduction in the number of fixing parts can be anticipated.
[0025] In the invention according to claim 3, the support member is a forged steel piece that extends horizontally and is arranged between the seat and the rear fairing. By arranging the support member, which extends horizontally, between the seat and the rear fairing, the seat can be arranged in the vicinity of the rear fairing and the height of the seat can be kept low. In addition, by arranging the seat close to the rear fairing, the gap between the seat and the rear fairing decreases and it becomes less likely that water will enter the inner side of the vehicle body. As a result, the seat height is kept low and, in addition, water is less likely to enter the inside of the vehicle body.
[0026] In addition, as the support support part is opened upwards, a clamping tool can be moved towards the support support and top part. In this way, with the support support part open upwards, the support member to which the various parts are attached or attached together can be easily attached to the support support part.
[0027] In the invention according to claim 4, the second rib extending between the two hole parts on the inner side in the width direction of the vehicle in relation to the first rib is formed on the inner side of the supporting member. As the second rib extends to connect the two bore parts to each other, even if the water passes through the first rib, the water inlet on the inside of the vehicle body can be interrupted by the second rib. Through this second rib, the entry of water into the vehicle body can be prevented with a greater degree of certainty.
[0028] In the invention as shown in claim 5, the support member is arranged so as to be inclined forward and downward from the vehicle body and the drainage hole disposed on the inner side in the width direction of the vehicle with respect to the first rib to discharge water through it in a front part of the support member.
[0029] As the support member is tilted forward and downward from the vehicle body and the drainage hole is provided in a front part of the support member, even if water entering from outside the vehicle body passes through the first rib, water flows down the slope and is discharged from the drain hole. As a result, the water that passes through the first rib can be easily discharged.
[0030] In the invention according to claim 6, the side pouch includes the upper support support part and the lower support support part locked to the side of the vehicle body. As the side bag has the upper support part and the lower support part, if a vehicle has a tube-shaped support in one of the upper and lower parts, then the side bag can be incorporated into the vehicle. In addition, also in a vehicle of a type that does not have a tube-shaped state, but has, for example, a side pocket coupling hole in the rear fairing, a side pocket can be incorporated by hanging the support part from side bag support in the side bag mounting hole.
[0031] In the invention according to claim 7, the side pouch is configured from the container part and the lid part that covers the container part. The vertical ribs and the horizontal rib are provided in the container part. As the vertical ribs are provided, when the lid part is closed to the container part, the lid part can be fitted smoothly into the container part. In addition, as the horizontal rib is provided, water is less likely to enter the container through the horizontal rib and it can be difficult for water to enter the container. [0051] In the following, an embodiment of the present invention is described in detail. In the figures and in the modality, "up", "down", "forward", "backward", "left" and "right" indicate the directions as seen from a driver driving a motorcycle. Example of Operation
[0052] An example of operation of the present invention is described with reference to the drawings. In the following, a structure in which some parts are selected from a plurality of types of parts (hereinafter referred to as several parts) on a rear part of a vehicle of the type to be assembled (motorcycle 10) and are coupled to a vehicle body structure 11 is described.
[0053] The various parts include side bag support members 21L and 21R, handles 22L and 22R and a carrier member 23. Here, side bag support members 21L and 21R (only the reference symbol 21L on that side is shown) are members for holding side pockets (the reference symbols 24L and 24R in Figure 16) described below and the handles (the reference symbols 22L and 22R in Figure 5) are members that can be secured by a passenger on the motorcycle. Carrier member 23 is a member for holding baggage.
[0054] Here, for and with the side bag support members 21L and 21R of the type shown in Figure 1, the handle members 42L and 42R that are attached by a passenger to the motorcycle are welded and integrated. However, a handle member is not included in the side pouch support members 121L and 121R of the type shown in Figure 10, but is formed as a separate part.
[0055] In the following, four representative types of assemblies (variations) called first to fourth variations are accumulated in the rear structure of a vehicle of the type to be assembled according to the present invention and are described.
[0056] With reference to Figures 1 to 3, the first variation is described in which the side bag support members integrated with handle members to be attached by the passenger on a motorcycle and a carrier member are mounted separately (hereinafter also referred to as subset) to the support members and the subassembled side bag support members 21L and 21R and the carrier member 23 are coupled to a vehicle body structure 11.
[0057] Then, with reference to Figures 4 to 6, the second variation in which the handles must be attached by a passenger on a motorcycle and a transport member are subassembled to the support members and the handles are subassembled and the transport members are coupled to a vehicle body structure.
[0058] Then, with reference to Figures 7 to 9, the third variation is described in which the side bag support members integrated with the handle members to be attached by a passenger on a motorcycle are subassembled to the support members and the Subassembled side bag support members are coupled to a vehicle body structure.
[0059] Then, with reference to Figures 10 to 12, the fourth variation is described in which the side bag support members that do not include a handle member, the independent parts handles and a carrier member are sub-assembled to the support members. and the subassembled side bag support members, the handles and the carrier member are coupled to a vehicle body structure. First, the first variation is described.
[0060] As shown in Figure 1, a vehicle body structure 11 is provided on the rear of a motorcycle 10 and the support members 19L and 19R are coupled to the vehicle body structure 11. The bag support members side 21L and 21R (only the reference symbol 21L on that side is shown) and a carrier member 23 are coupled to the support members 19L and 19R. On the inside of the side pocket support members 21L and 21R on the outside of the vehicle body structure 11, the rear fairings 13L and 13R covering the vehicle body structure 11 are arranged. The side bag support members 21L and 21R support the side bags 24L and 24R (reference to Figure 16) and the handle members 42L and 42R that are attached by a passenger to the motorcycle are integrated with the side bag support members 21L and 21R.
[0061] The side bag support members 21L and 21R are tube type members that exhibit a substantially rectangular shape as seen in the side elevation of the vehicle and in which the handle members 42L and 42R are to be secured by the passenger on the motorcycle are provided integrally on the rear side of the vehicle. However, the carrier member 23 includes a U-shaped member 35 connected to the support members 19L and 19R, a carrier support 36 coupled to a rear end of the U-shaped member 35 and a main carrier body 37 coupled to the carrier support 36 to receive an item placed on it.
[0062] The U-shaped member 35 includes the left and right arm parts 38L and 38R and a bridge part 39 that extends between the left and right arm parts 38L and 38R and exhibits a substantially U-shape. U-shaped member 35 is arranged in such a direction that the front side of the vehicle is opened and the bridge part 39 is positioned at the rear. The left and right arm parts 38L and 38R are coupled to the support members 19L and 19R by fixing members 25, respectively. The carrier support 36 is coupled to the bridge portion 39 positioned at the rear most.
[0063] Figure 2 (a) is an exploded perspective view illustrating that the side bag support members 21L and 21R and the carrier member 23 must be coupled to the support members 19L and 19R. Figure 2 (b) is a perspective view showing a first subset 51 in which the side pocket support members 21L and 21R and the carrier member 23 are coupled to the support members 19L and 19R.
[0064] Referring to Figure 2 (a), the first two front and rear fixing holes 29 in which female threaded parts are formed are provided in each of the support members 19L and 19R and the first two fixing holes 31 are provided in each of the side bag support members 21L and 21R to correspond to the positions of the first fixing holes 29. In addition, the two fourth fixing holes 33 are provided in each of the arm parts 38L and 38R of the carrier member 23. Thus, the side pocket support members 21L and 21R and the carrier member 23 are placed in order on the support members 19L and 19R and the second fixing holes 31 and the fourth fixing holes 33 are aligned with the first fixing holes 29. Then, the side pocket support members 21L and 21R and the carrier member 23 are attached to the support members 19L and 19R together with the top carrier member 23 by a plurality of fixation members 25.
[0065] In addition, a cross support 43 that connects the side bag support members 21L and 21R to each other is connected to the extension between the side bag support members 21L and 21R. The cross support 43 is fixed at the opposite end parts of it to the parts of the side pocket support members 21L and 21R by the fixing members 27 and nuts 44.
[0066] Figure 2 (b) illustrates that the side pouch support members 21L and 21R and the carrier member 23 that are in an overlapping state with each other are attached together to the support members 19L and 19R by a plurality of members of fixation 25. In the following description, the side pouch support members 21L and 21R and the carrier member 23 which are attached together to the support members 19L and 19R by the fixation members 25 are referred to as the first subset 51.
[0067] It should be noted that, although the side bag support members 21L and 21R and the carrier member 23 are attached together to a plurality of first fixing holes 29 provided in the support members 19L and 19R with the use of the fixing members 25, the fixing holes can be drilled separately in the support members 19L and 19R so that the mentioned members are individually fixed to the separate fixing holes without fixing the side pocket support members 21L and 21R and the transporting member 23 together.
[0068] Now, an example in which the first subset 51, in which the side bag support members 21L and 21R and the carrier member 23 are attached together, is coupled to the support support parts 45L and 45R of the body structure of vehicle 11 is described.
[0069] As shown in Figure 3, two front and rear bore parts 18 to be individually attached to the vehicle body structure 11 (reference to Figure 1) are provided on each of the support members 19L and 19R in an internal position in the vehicle width direction of the first fixing holes 29 (reference to Figure 2). A plurality of support fixing holes 46 is provided in the support support parts 45Z and 45R in a relationship corresponding to the hole parts 18. The female threaded parts are formed in the support fixing holes 46 and the support members 19L and 19R to which the side pouch support members 21L and 21R and the carrier member 23 are attached together are attached to the support support parts 45L and 45R by a plurality of attachment members 26 with the hole parts 18 aligned with the holes support fixing 46.
[0070] It should be understood that, although the side pouch support members 21L and 21R have the handle members 42L and 42R integrated with them, the side pouch support members that have a mode in which the handle members 42L and 42R are not included and can be used instead.
[0071] Now, the second variation is described.
[0072] As shown in Figure 4, a vehicle body structure 11 is provided on the rear of a motorcycle 10 and the support members 19L and 19R are coupled to the vehicle body structure 11. Support members 19L and 19R have handles 22L and 22R and a carrier member 23 coupled thereto. The rear fairings 13L and 13R covering the vehicle body structure 11 are arranged on the inside of the handles 22L and 22R on the outside of the vehicle body structure 11.
[0073] Figure 5 (a) is an exploded perspective view that illustrates that the handles 22L and 22R and the carrier member 23 are coupled to the support members 19L and 19R and Figure 5 (b) is a perspective view that shows a second assembly 52 in which the handles 22L and 22R and the carrier member 23 are coupled to the support members 19L and 19R.
[0074] Referring to Figure 5 (a), the first two front and rear fixing holes 29 in which female threaded parts are formed are provided in the support members 19L and 19R and the third fixing holes 32 are provided in the handles 22L and 22R these fourth fixing holes 33 are provided in the carrier member 23 in a relationship aligned with the positions of the first fixing holes 29. In addition, the handles 22L and 22R and the carrier member 23 are placed on top of each other in that order on the support members 19L and 19R and the third fixing holes 32 and the fourth fixing holes 33 are aligned with the first fixing holes 29 to fix the handles 22L and 22R and the transporting member 23 together with the support members 19L and 19R from above by a plurality of fixing members 25.
[0075] Figure 5 (b) illustrates that the handles 22L and 22R and the carrier member 23 which are in an overlapping state with each other are fixed to the support members 19L and 19R by a plurality of fixation members 25. In the following, the handles 22L and 22R and the carrier member 23 attached together with the support members 19L and 19R by the fixing members 25 are referred to as second assembly 52.
[0076] It should be noted that, although the handles 22L and 22R and the carrier member 23 are attached together to a plurality of first fixation holes 29 provided in the support members 19L and 19R with the use of the fixation members 25, as an alternative, separate fixing holes can be made in the support members 19L and 19R so that the mentioned members are fixed to the separate fixing holes without depending on the fixation of the handles 22L and 22R and the carrier member 23.
[0077] Now, an example in which the second assembly 52 in which the handles 22L and 22R and the carrier member 23 are attached together is coupled to the supporting support parts 45L and 45R of the vehicle body structure 11 is described.
[0078] As shown in Figure 6, the bore parts 18 to be coupled to the vehicle body structure 11 are provided in the support members 19L and 19R in internal positions in the vehicle's width direction in relation to the first fixing holes ( reference numeral 29 in Figure 5). Two support fixing holes 46 are provided in each of the support support parts 45L and 45R in a relationship aligned with the hole parts 18. The female threaded parts are provided in the support fixation holes 46 and with the support parts. hole 18 aligned with the support fixing holes 46, the support members 19L and 19R to which the handles 22L and 22R and the carrier member 23 are attached together are fixed to the support support members 45L and 45R by a plurality of members fastening 26.
[0079] The operation of the rear structures for a vehicle of the type to be assembled described above is described.
[0080] Referring also to Figure 3, as a procedure for assembling several parts to the vehicle body structure 11, the side bag support members 21L and 21R and the carrier member 23 are attached together to the support members 19L and 19R in advance, or the handles 22L and 22R and the carrier member 23 are attached together to the support members 19L and 19R. Then, the support members 19L and 19R to which the side pouch support members 21L and 21R and the carrier member 23 are attached together, or the support members 19L and 19R to which the handles 22L and 22R and the carrier member 23 they are attached together, they are attached to the supporting support parts 45L and 45R of the vehicle body structure 11. In other words, the first subset 51 or the second assembly 52 is coupled to the vehicle body structure 11.
[0081] Usually, on a main assembly line, after the support members 19L and 19R are coupled to the support support parts 45L and 45R of the vehicle body structure 11, at least one part among the bag support members side 211 and 21R, carrier member 23 and handles 221 and 22R is coupled to support members 191 and 19R. Where the type and number of parts to be coupled to a rear part of a vehicle body is different depending on the car model in this way, the number of assembly steps on the main assembly line is sometimes different depending on the car model and the workload is sometimes different depending on the stage. Therefore, when a variation of the car model is to be increased, the main assembly line is sometimes significantly modified. Such modification of the main assembly line leads to increased installation costs.
[0082] In this regard, in the present invention, after several parts are assembled to the support members 19L and 19R to form a subset in an underline in advance, the support members 19L and 19R with which the various parts are integrated, ie , the first subassembly or the second subassembly, is coupled to the supporting support parts 45L and 45R of the vehicle body structure 11. Therefore, no dispersion occurs with the number of assembly steps on the main assembly line. As a result, vehicle assembly productivity on the main assembly line can be improved.
[0083] In addition, it becomes possible to attach two selected parts together to the support members 19L and 19R and the support members 19L and 19R to which the various parts are attached together are attached to the support support parts 45L and 45R of the vehicle body structure 11. In other words, as the various parts are coupled to the vehicle body structure 11 through the common support members 19L and 19R, the number of types of the vehicle body structure 11 can be reduced and the vehicle cost can be reduced. Additionally, there is no need to modify the main assembly line as well. As the common support members 19L and 19R are used, it is possible to flexibly handle a change to the car model. As a result, assembly productivity can be further improved.
[0084] Now, the third variation is described.
[0085] As shown in Figure 7, a vehicle body structure 11 (reference to Figure 1) is provided on a rear part of a motorcycle 10 and the support members 19L and 19R are coupled to the vehicle body structure 11. In addition, the side pouch support members 21L and 21R are coupled to the support members 19L and 19R. The rear fairings 13L and 13R covering the vehicle body structure 11 are arranged on the inside of the side pocket support members 21L and 21R on the outside of the vehicle body structure 11.
[0086] Figure 8 (a) is an exploded perspective view that illustrates that the side pocket support members 21L and 21R must be coupled to the support members 19L and 19R and Figure 8 (b) is a perspective view showing a third subset 53 in which the side pocket support members 21L and 21R are coupled to the support members 19L and 19R.
[0087] Referring to Figure 8 (a), the first two front and rear fixing holes 29 in each of which a female threaded part is formed are provided in the support members 19L and 19R and the second fixing holes 31 are provided on the side bag support members 21L and 21R in a relationship aligned with the positions of the first fixing holes 29. The two front and rear hole parts 18 to be coupled to the vehicle body structure 11 are provided in each of the support members 19L and 19R in an internal position in the width direction of the vehicle in relation to the first fixing holes 29. Then, the side bag support members 21L and 21R are placed in the support members 19L and 19R and the second fixing holes 31 are aligned with the first fixing holes 29 and then the side pocket support members 21L and 21R are attached to the support members 19L and 19R from above by a plurality of fixing members 25.
[0088] In addition, a cross support 43 that connects the side bag support members 21L and 21R to each other extends between the side bag support members 21L and 21R. The cross support 43 is fixed on the opposite parts of it to the parts in the vicinity of the rear ends of the side pocket support members 21L and 21R by the fixing members 27 and nuts 44.
[0089] Figure 8 (b) illustrates that the side bag support members 21L and 21R that are in an overlapping relationship with each other are attached to the support members 19L and 19R by a plurality of fixation members 25. In the following, side bag support members 21L and 21R which are attached together to support members 19L and 19R by fixation members 25 are referred to as third subset 53.
[0090] As shown in Figure 9, the support fixing holes 46 are provided in each of the support support parts 45L and 45R in a relationship aligned with the two front and rear hole parts 18 provided in each of the members support brackets 19L and 19R and to be coupled to the vehicle body structure 11. A female threaded part is formed in each of the hole fixing holes 46 and the hole parts 18 are aligned with the support fixing holes 46 and the support members 19L and 19R to which the side pocket support members 21L and 21R are attached are coupled to the support support parts 45L and 45R by a plurality of fixing members 26.
[0091] It is realized that, although the handle members 42L and 42R are integrated with the side bag support members 21L and 21R, the side bag support members 21L and 21R in a way that does not include the members of handle 42L and 42R can be used instead.
[0092] Now, the fourth variation is described.
[0093] As shown in Figure 10, a vehicle body structure 11 is provided on the rear of a motorcycle 10 and the support members 19L and 19R are coupled to the vehicle body structure 11. The bag support members side 121L and 121R that are attached by a passenger to the motorcycle and do not include a handle member, the handles 22L and 22R that are attached by the passenger to the motorcycle and a carrier member 23 are coupled to the support members 19L and 19R. The rear fairings 13L and 13R covering the vehicle body structure 11 are arranged on the inside of the side pocket support members 121L and 121R on the outside of the vehicle body structure 11.
[0094] Figure 11 (a) is an exploded perspective view illustrating that support members 19L and 19R, handles 22L and 22R and carrier member 23 must be coupled to support members 19L and 19R and Figure 11 ( b) is a perspective view showing a fourth sub-assembly 54 in which side bag support members 121L and 121R, handles 22L and 22R and carrier member 23 are coupled to support members 19L and 19R.
[0095] Referring to Figure 11 (a), the first two front and rear fixing holes 29 in each of which a female threaded part is formed are provided in each of the support members 19L and 19R and a plurality of second fixing holes 131 is provided in each of the side pocket support members 121L and 121R in a relationship aligned with the positions of the first fixing holes 29. A plurality of third fixing holes 32 is provided in each of the handles 22L and 22R and a plurality of fourth fixing holes 33 are provided in the carrier member 23. Thus, the side pocket support members 121L and 121R are placed on the support members 19L and 19R, then the handles 22L and 22R are placed on the members side bag support carrier 121L and 121R and then the carrier member 23 is placed on the handles 22L and 22R. Therefore, the second fixing holes 131, the third fixing holes 32 and the fourth fixing holes 33 are aligned with the first fixing holes 29 and the side pocket support members 121L, 121R, the handles 22L, 22R and the carrier member 23 are attached to the support members 19L, 19R from above by a plurality of attachment members 25.
[0096] In addition, a cross support 43 that connects the side bag support members 121L and 121R to each other extends between the side bag support members 121L and 121R. The cross support 43 is fixed on the opposite end parts thereof to the parts in the vicinity of the rear ends of the side pocket support members 121L and 121R by the fixing members 27 and nuts 44.
[0097] Figure 11 (b) illustrates that the side bag support members 121L and 121R and the handles 22L and 22R that are in an overlapping state with each other are attached to the support members 19L and 19R by a plurality of members of fixation 25. In the following, side bag support members 121L and 121R, grippers 22L and 22R and carrier member 23 are attached together to support members 19L and 19R by fixation members 25 are referred to as fourth subset 54.
[0098] As shown in Figure 12, the two front and rear bore parts 18 to be coupled to the vehicle body structure 11 are provided on each of the support members 19L and 19R in an internal position in the width direction of the vehicle. in relation to the first fixing holes 29. The support fixing holes 46 are provided in the support support parts 45L and 45R in relation to the hole parts 18. The female threaded parts are formed in each of the fixing holes support 46 and the support parts 18 are aligned with the support fixing holes 46 and the support members 19L and 19R to which the side pocket support members 121L and 121R are attached are coupled to the support support parts 45L and 45R.
[0099] Referring to Figures 2, 5, 8 and 11, in the present operating example, the side bag support members 21L and 21R with which the handle members 42L and 42R are integrated and the carrier member 23 are attached to the support members 19L and 19R with the second fixing holes 31 of the side pocket support members 21L and 21R and the fourth fixing holes 33 of the carrier member 23 aligned with the first fixing holes 29 of the support members 19L and 19R . Or the handles 22L and 22R and the carrier member 23 are attached to the support members 19L and 19R with the third fixing holes 32 of the handles 22L and 22R and the fourth fixing holes 33 of the carrier member 23 aligned with each other; the side bag support members 21L and 21R are attached to the support members 19L and 19R with the second fixing holes 31 of the side bag support members 21L and 21R aligned with the first fixing holes 29 of the support members 19L and 19R; or the side pouch support members 121L and 121R that do not include a handle member, the handles 22L and 22R and the carrier member 23 are attached to the support members 19L and 19R with the second fixing holes 131 of the support members of side pouch 121L and 121R, third fixing holes 32 of handles 22L and 22R and fourth fixing holes 33 of carrier member 23 aligned with the first fixing holes 29 of support members 19L and 19R. Furthermore, there is no problem if side bag support members 121L and 121R, carrier member 23 and handles 22L and 22R are attached to support members 19L and 19R with the second fixing holes 131 of side bag support members 121L and 121R and fourth fixing holes 33 of the carrier member 23 aligned with each other. Or the second fixing holes 31, second fixing holes 131 or third fixing holes 32 can be aligned with the first fixing holes to fix the corresponding members to the support members 19L and 19R.
[00100] In the present invention, after several parts are subassembled to the support members 19L and 19R, the support members 19L and 19R which the various parts are subassembled are fixed to the support support parts 45L and 45R of the body structure of vehicle 11 on a main assembly line. Therefore, it becomes less likely that a dispersion will occur with the assembly step on the main assembly line. As a result, assembly productivity can be improved. In addition, as the various parts are coupled to the support brackets 45L and 45R via the common support members 19L and 19R, even if the number of car models increases, a significant line modification is not necessary.
[00101] Furthermore, as the positions of the fixing holes (hole parts 18) of the support members 19L and 19R are aligned with the positions of the fixing holes (support fixing holes 46) of the support parts 45L and 45R, there is no need to change the vehicle body structure 11 for each of the various parts. As a result, the increase in the number of types of the vehicle body structure can be suppressed and the cost of the vehicle can be reduced. In addition, the common support members 19L and 19R are used and the various parts are subassembled to the support members 19L and 19R in advance and then the subassembled support members 19L and 19R are attached to the support support parts 45L and 45R. Therefore, the change in steps is unnecessary or small in relation to a change in the car model and, consequently, it is easier to deal with a change in the car model.
[00102] It should be realized that the side pocket support members can be of the type where the handle members 42L and 42R are integrated with them.
[00103] As shown in Figure 13, motorcycle 10 as a vehicle to be assembled includes a seat rail 61L which is a component of the vehicle body structure 11, a seat 60 coupled to the seat rail 61L and can be used by a driver and a passenger and a 45L support bracket provided on the seat rail 61L below seat 60. The 45L support bracket supports a 19L support member and a 21L side pouch support member and a support member conveyor 23 are attached together to the support member 19L and attached to the support support part 45L.
[00104] The seat 60 includes a bottom plate 69, a cushion section section 68 arranged on an upper face of the bottom plate 69 and a seat skin 67 integrated with the bottom plate 69 in such a way as to cover the bottom section. cushion 68.
[00105] The support member 19L coupled to the vehicle body structure 11 extends outward in the width of the vehicle further away than the seat 60 and when the seat 60 is removed, the support support part 45L is opened to up.
[00106] Referring to Figure 13, just below the seat rail 61L, a support structure 62L that supports the seat rail 61L is attached to a lower end of the seat rail 61L and extends along the seat rail 61L. A 13L rear fairing is arranged outwardly in the vehicle width direction of the 61L seat rail. In other words, a structure when the first subset 51 is coupled to the support member 19L is shown.
[00107] It should be noted that the structure of the support member 19L to which the various parts including the second subset and the third subset are attached and the side of the vehicle body structure 11 to which the support member 19L is attached is the same as the structure when the first subset 51 is coupled and its description is omitted.
[00108] As shown in Figure 14, the support member 19L is a forged steel member that extends horizontally. The support member 19L includes an outer side 63L positioned outwardly in the width direction of the vehicle further away than the seat 60 as seen in plan. The outer lateral part 63L is arranged between the seat 60 and the rear fairing 13L, which covers one side of a rear part of the vehicle body structure 11, in the height direction. In Figure 14, the subset is removed. It should be noted that such support members, vehicle body structures and so on are provided to the left and to the right in tandem across the center line in the vehicle's wide direction.
[00109] Referring also to Figure 13, the two front and rear bore parts 18 attached to the support support part 451, are provided in the support member 19L. Below the seat 60, a first rib 71L extending along the extension direction of the vehicle body structure 11 and projecting upwardly with respect to a lower end 60b of a side in the vehicle width direction of the seat 60 it is formed entirely in the support member 19L. A second rib 72L extending to connect the two front and rear bore parts 18 together is formed on an inner side part 65L of the support member 19L in the forward and backward direction of the vehicle body on the side internal in the direction of width of the vehicle in relation to the first rib 71L.
[00110] The first rib 71L and the second rib 72L extend along the direction of extension of the seat rail 61L. A valley portion 74L in the form of a flat face is provided between the first rib 71L and the second rib 72L. Through the first rib 71L and the second rib 72L, water entering from outside the vehicle body can be prevented from reaching an electrical component 75.
[00111] The support member 19L is a forged steel member that extends horizontally and is arranged between the seat 60 and the rear fairing 13L. With the support member 19L, which extends horizontally between the seat 60 and the rear fairing 13L, the seat 60 can be arranged in the vicinity of the rear fairing 13L and the height of the seat 60 can be kept low. Additionally, with the seat 60 in proximity to the rear fairing 13L, the gap between the seat 60 and the rear fairing 13L becomes small and it is difficult for water to enter the interior of the vehicle body. As a result, the height of the seat 60 is kept low and it becomes difficult for water to enter the interior of the vehicle body.
[00112] In addition, when the seat 60 is removed, as the support support part 45L is opened upwards, a clamping tool can be moved towards the support support part 45L above. In this way, with the support support part 45L open upwards, the support member 19L to which the various parts are attached together can be easily attached to the support support part 45L.
[00113] In an alternative structure in which the top of the support part 45L is not open and is covered, after the various parts are assembled to the support member 19L, with the various parts, by means of coupling, any subset gets in the way and work to mount the subassembly to the vehicle body structure can become difficult to perform smoothly. Additionally, there is the possibility that, depending on the structure of the subassembly, work on mounting the subassembly to the vehicle body structure may become difficult.
[00114] In this regard, according to the present invention, as the support support part 45L is opened upwards, a clamping tool can be moved towards the support support part 45L above. As a result, assembly productivity can be improved.
[00115] In addition, the second rib 72L extending between the two hole parts 18 on the inner side in the width direction of the vehicle in relation to the first rib 71L is formed on the inner side of the support member 19L. As the second rib 72L extends to connect the two bore parts 18 to each other, even if the water passes through the first rib 71L, the water inlet on the inner side of the vehicle body can be interrupted by the second rib 72L. Through this second rib 72L, the entry of water into the vehicle body can be prevented with a greater degree of certainty.
[00116] As shown in Figure 15, the support member 19L is arranged in a state in which it is tilted forward and downward from the vehicle body and a drainage hole 73L which is arranged to discharge water on the inside of the vehicle. width direction of the vehicle in relation to the first rib 71L is drilled in a front part 19La of the support member 19L.
[00117] As the support member 19L is tilted forward and downward from the vehicle body and the drain hole 73L is provided in the front 19La of the support member 19L, even if water entering from outside the vehicle body pass through the first rib 71L, the water flows forward and down the slope and is discharged from the drain hole 73L. As a result, the water that passes through the first rib 71L can be easily discharged.
[00118] Now, a support structure for the 13L rear fairing is described.
[00119] An inner flange 78L of the rear fairing 13L adjoins a lower face of a front end flange 77L, provided at one front end of the support member 19L and the rear fairing 13L is coupled to the support member 19L by a fixing member 28 and a nut 28b.
[00120] Referring to Figures 16 to 19, details of the side pouch support members 21L and 21R and the side pouches 24L and 24R supported on the side pouch support members 21L and 21R are described.
[00121] As shown in Figure 16, the left and right side bags 24L and 24R are individually mounted on the left and right side bag support members 21L and 21R that configure the third subset 53 described earlier in this document. The left and right side pockets 24L and 24R are configured from the container parts 81L and 81R and lid parts 82L and 82R that cover the container part 81L and 81R, respectively.
[00122] In the following, the right side bag support member 21R is described. However, the structure of the left side bag support member 21L is symmetrically configured to the right side bag support member 21R in relation to the center line in the vehicle width direction and, therefore, its description is omitted.
[00123] The right side bag support member 21R includes, as main components thereof, a front arm 86R which has, at a lower end thereof, a first support part 84R to be attached to the vehicle body structure 11 and extending substantially upwardly from the first support portion 84R, and an upper arm 87R extending backwards in the forward and backward direction of the vehicle which changes the direction of an upper end of the front arm 86R. The right side pouch support member 21R further includes a rear arm 88R that extends substantially downward by changing the direction of a rear end of the upper arm 87R, a lower arm 89R that extends towards the front of the vehicle by changing the direction of an end lower of the rear arm 88R and connected to the front arm 86R and a second support 85R attached to a rear of the vehicle of the upper arm 87R and serving as a seat to be attached to the support member 19R. The right side bag support member 21R further includes a handle portion 42R that extends upwards from the second support 85R, extending further behind the vehicle, extending further down and connected to an intermediate part of the rear arm 88R.
[00124] In addition, an upper support support part 101R of the side pouch 24R is perforated on the upper arm 87R and a lower support support part 102R of the side pouch 24R is hung on the lower arm 89R. In addition, the side pouch 24R is removably supported on the side pouch support member 21R.
[00125] As shown in Figure 17, the upper support support part 101R is locked in a tube-shaped support (upper arm 87R) through an elastic member 91. In Figure 16, also the lower support support part 102R is locked on a tube-shaped support (lower arm 89R) below an elastic member not shown through the elastic member. By interposing the elastic members on the lower support support part 102R and on the upper support support part 1018, it becomes less likely that the vibration of the side pocket support member 21R provided on the side of the vehicle body structure ( reference numeral 11 in Figure 1) is transmitted to the side pocket 24R. Consequently, vibration can be suppressed favorably.
[00126] The side pouch 24R includes an upper support bracket part 101R and a lower support bracket part 102R that are locked to the side of the vehicle body. With the side pocket 24R having the upper support support part 101R and the lower support support part 102R, it can also be incorporated into a vehicle that has a tube-shaped support in one of the upper and lower parts. In addition, the side pocket 24R can also be incorporated in a vehicle of the type that does not have a tube-shaped support, but has a side pocket coupling hole, for example, in a rear fairing.
[00127] Now, a structure of a fitting part between the container part 81L and the lid part 82L of the side pouch 24L is described. Although the description of the structure of the left side pouch 24L is given below, also the structure of the right side pouch 24R is symmetrical to the structure of the left side pouch 24L with respect to a central line in the vehicle width direction and also the operation is similar. Therefore, the description of the right side pouch 24R is omitted.
[00128] As shown in Figures 18 and 19, a plurality of vertical ribs 93L by which the lid part 82L is smoothly guided and engaged in the container part 81L extends in the container part 81L in a direction where the lid part 82L that sets up the side pouch 24L is fitted. A horizontal 94L rib that prevents water from entering extends in a direction perpendicular to the direction in which the vertical ribs 93L extend.
[00129] The container part 81L that configures the side pouch 24L includes the vertical ribs 93L and the horizontal rib 94L that extends in a direction perpendicular to the vertical ribs 93L. As the vertical ribs 93L are provided in a direction equal to the direction in which the lid part 82L is opened and closed, when the lid part 82L is fitted (closed) to the container part 81L, the inner face of the lid part 82L slides along the vertical ribs 93L. Consequently, the lid portion 82L can be fitted smoothly into the container portion 81L. In addition, as the horizontal rib 94L is provided, it becomes difficult for water to enter the vessel beyond the horizontal rib 94L and it becomes difficult for water to enter the container portion 81L.
[00130] It should be realized that, although the present invention is applied, in the modality, to a motorcycle, it can also be applied to a car with three wheels of the type to be mounted and there is no problem if it is applied to a vehicle of the type for general assembly.
