专利说明:
[0001] The present invention relates to a wing cover to protect wear-sensitive parts of an earthmoving machine bucket. [0002] Covers are installed on different parts of a bucket to protect defined parts of the bucket from abrasive wear. Installing covers can prolong the life of the bucket, as it will be sufficient to replace worn covers instead of buying a new bucket. [0003] Currently, different types of covers are in use. For example, extreme covers are placed on the front edge of the bucket to protect the sensitive parts of the bucket edge that are subjected to a great deal of stress during digging work. The covers located at the corner of the bucket are called wing covers which are primarily designed for the protection of the bucket side plates. [0004] There are several processes known from the state of the art to assemble said protection means in the respective parts of the bucket. It is common practice to connect the protective medium by bonding or welding. An additional example suggests a wing cover that is pin-locked to a bucket sidewall. Another embodiment suggests protecting the top of a tooth adapter based on a wear resistant cap. On top of the wear-resistant cover, a separate wing cover is placed to protect the bucket sidewall. Consequently, at least two unique pieces are needed to achieve sufficient protection of the corner tooth adapter and side plates. Regularly, said protective parts are secured with an additional fastening element, in particular a pin or an axle located on the side wall of the bucket. [0005] Alternatively, the protection mentioned above can be fixed by a welded brake disposed on the bucket. However, it is always necessary to modify the bucket or cover through a welding process. [0006] All of the above mentioned solutions have the same disadvantage that securing the guard requires the additional parts to maintain a sufficient connection between the guard and the bucket. Consequently, replacement protection is either impossible or somewhat complicated and time-consuming. [0007] Therefore, it is an object of the present invention to provide a wing cover for a bucket that can be easily attached to a bucket without the need for extra equipment. [0008] According to the invention, this object is initially solved by a wing cover with the characteristics of claim 1. Advantageous aspects of the wing cover according to the invention are provided in the subclaims that follow the main claim. [0009] According to claim 1, a wing cover for an earthmoving machine bucket, in particular a mining bucket, is adapted to be positioned at least partially on a tooth adapter and/or at least partially on the bucket side plate. In the case of a corner tooth adapter connected to the bucket, in particular, by a welding process, the wear-resistant cover of the invention protects the tooth adapter, the bucket side plate and the connecting line, in particular, the welding line between tooth adapter and bucket. [00010] In the case of a cast corner tooth adapter, the tooth adapter comprises a vertical portion extending vertically from the upper surface of the adapter. The vertical portion forms a part of the hopper side plate. The vertical portion is connected to the bucket, in particular, through a welding process. The wing cover of the invention is adapted to protect the tooth adapter and the vertical portion of the tooth adapter and optionally the bucket side plate. [00011] This provides sufficient protection for most wear sensitive parts of a bucket. The protection of at least one bucket tine adapter and at least one bucket side plate and/or the vertical portion of the tine adapter is achieved by a single cover. The cover of the invention combines the protective function of a known wear-resistant cover and a wing cover. [00012] The wing cover additionally comprises at least one self-locking mechanism for a releasable connection to the bucket. Therefore, the wing cover of the invention is kept without any additional parts, such as, for example, a pin or a shaft. During the connection process, an automatic lock occurs between the wing cover and the bucket and/or the tine adapter which does not require any welded parts on the bucket or wing cover. Additionally, a very easy and comfortable way to replace said wing cover is possible. Especially, the present invention offers a hammerless installation and disassembly of the wing cover after abrasive wear has occurred. [00013] In a preferred aspect of the present invention, the wing cover is adapted to protect at least one tooth adaptor, in particular a corner tooth adapter or a cast corner tooth adapter, at least one side plate from the bucket and/or a vertical portion of the tine adapter and/or the weld line between the tine adapter and the side plate. Consequently, three or more wear-sensitive parts of a bucket can be easily protected with just a single piece, ie, the wing cover of the invention. [00014] According to another advantageous aspect of the invention, at least one self-locking mechanism ensures a shape fit between the deck and the bucket. [00015] It could be sufficient for the wing cover to comprise at least one self-locking mechanism for a releasable connection to the tooth adapter. Additionally or alternatively, the wing cover may comprise a self-locking mechanism for a releasable connection to the bucket side plate or to the vertical portion of the tine adapter. In a particular preferred aspect of the invention, the wing comprises at least one self-locking mechanism for a releasable connection to the tooth adapter and at least another separate self-locking mechanism for a releasable connection to the side plate. [00016] Preferably, the wing deck and the bucket are firmly connected to each other by mechanically locking them together. For example, the locking mechanism comprises at least one groove formed in an inner surface of the wing deck. The formed fit is adapted to be engaged in a groove arranged in the bucket or tooth adapter. Said socket can fit into the respective groove. Alternatively, at least one socket can be slid into the respective slot from a predefined direction. [00017] If at least one socket is engaged with at least one groove, a movement of the wing cover will be blocked, in particular a vertical and/or horizontal movement of the wing cover will be blocked. [00018] According to a preferred aspect of the invention, at least one housing is substantially wedge-shaped. The socket can also be formed with a straight longitudinal side and an angled longitudinal side. [00019] In a preferred aspect of the present invention, the wing cover comprises a U-shaped cover member which is adapted to be disposed on top of at least one tooth adapter. The U-shaped covering member may partially comprise at least one tooth adapter to provide sufficient protection of the covered portion of the tooth adapter. In that case, at least one socket can be formed on an inner surface of the U-shaped cover member. In particular, at least one socket extends horizontally along the inner surface of the cover member parallel to the centerline of the member. coverage. Especially, at least two sockets are arranged on the opposite inner surfaces of the cover member. [00020] According to another advantageous aspect of the invention, the wing covering comprises a rising U-shaped neck member extending from a base member, in particular from the U-shaped covering member from the deck. The U-shaped neck member is preferably adapted to be disposed on the vertical leading edge of the bucket side plate and/or on the vertical leading edge of the vertical portion of the tooth adapter when connecting the deck to the bucket. In particular, the U-shaped neck member is adapted to partially span the side plate and/or the vertical portion. [00021] The present invention is further directed to a bucket for an earthmoving machine comprising at least one wing deck according to the present invention or according to any of the advantageous aspects of the present invention. Obviously, the bucket offers the same features and benefits as the aforementioned wing cover. [00022] In a preferred aspect of the present invention, a horizontal movement of the wing deck that is connected to the bucket is prevented by at least one tine connected to a tine adapter. In this case, at least one wing cover can be releasably connected to the bucket based on at least one locking mechanism. In particular, the wing cover is connected to the bucket by at least one fitting which is engaged in a respective groove in the bucket and by blocking a horizontal movement of the wing cover by a tooth connected to the protected tooth adapter. [00023] In addition, the present invention is directed to an earthmoving machine, in particular, a mining machine, featuring at least one bucket according to the present invention. [00024] Further details and advantages of the invention will be explained in detail with reference to an embodiment illustrated in the drawings. [00025] In Figure 1, a single connected bucket tooth of the bucket of the invention is shown in a perspective view, [00026] In Figure 2, a bucket tooth according to Figure 1 is shown in a side view, [00027] In Figure 3, two perspective views of the wing cover of the invention are shown, [00028] In Figure 4, an exploded view of the bucket tooth according to Figures 1 and 2 is shown, [00029] In Figure 5, there is shown a perspective view of the bucket of the invention for an earthmoving machine, [00030] And in Figure 6, a perspective view of a cast corner tooth adapter is shown. [00031] Figure 1 shows a front perspective view of a bucket tooth assembly of the bucket of the invention. The assembly shown consists of a corner tooth adapter 20 that is disposed on one of the outside edges of the bucket. The tooth adapter 20 is connected to a bucket side plate designated as bucket sidewall 40 by means of a connecting line 45, in particular a welding line 45. However, other connecting portions than a welding line are possible. welding. A suitable bucket tooth 30 can be connected to the tooth adapter 20 which forms the tooth assembly. [00032] A complete display of the inventive bucket 10 can be seen in Figure 5. The bucket 10 comprises two corner tooth adapters 20 arranged on both outer edges of the bucket 10 and three regular tooth adapters 21 arranged between both adapters of corner tooth 20. [00033] To protect the top of the corner tooth adapter 20, the side bucket plate 40 as well as the weld line 45 between the corner adapter 20 and the bucket plate 40, a wing cover 50 according to The invention is placed in a sub-area of the upper surface of the adapter 20 and a sub-area of the sidewall 40. In addition, the wing cover 50 also covers the weld line 45 between the sidewall 40 and the adapter 20. [00034] As can be seen from Figure 1, the wing covering 50 consists of a U-shaped covering member 51 and a rising U-shaped neck member 52 extending from the covering member 51 The covering member 51 has a horizontally extending opening 53 (Figures 3a, 3b) in which the upper surface of the tooth adapter 20 can be received. Similar to the covering member 51, the neck member 52 also comprises an opening. 54 which extends approximately in a vertical direction from cover member 51 to the top of wing cover 50. Opening 54 of neck member 52 is adapted to receive leading edge 41 of bucket sidewall 40. [00035] The present invention offers the possibility of protecting the entire area where great wear occurs with only a single piece, that is, the wing cover 50 of the invention. The lower wing cover 50 protects adapter 20, weld line 45 and bucket sidewall 40. [00036] The wing cover 50 is assembled without additional parts such as a pin or a shaft. An automatic lock occurs on one side with the bucket tooth adapter 20 and on the other side with the bucket sidewall 40. Especially, there is no need for a welded part to hold or secure the wing cover 50. [00037] The principle of the automatic locking mechanism will be discussed in relation to Figures 3a, 3b. Figure 3a shows a rear perspective view of the wing cover 50 where Figure 3b represents a front perspective view of the wing cover 50. As can be seen in Figure 3a, on each side wall 55 of the cover member 51, a socket 56 is disposed on the inner surface or side walls 55. Each socket 56 has a wedge shape with a straight longitudinal side 57 and an angled longitudinal side 58. [00038] The fittings 56 are engaged in respective slots 60 (Figure 4) in the side walls of the adapter 20 to secure the wing cover 50 to the adapter 20 without any assistance from additional parts. Referring to Figure 4, slots 60 are located on each side wall of adapter 20 where the shape of each slot 60 is aligned with the common socket shape for receiving respective sockets 56. [00039] For installation of the wing cover 50 on the adapter 20, the cover 50 is placed on the distal end of the adapter 20 and moved to the bucket sidewall 40. Therefore, the fittings 56 are moved to the slots 60 to provide a sufficient fastening on top of adapter 20. [00040] Thereafter, the bucket tooth 30 is placed on the adapter 20 and pinned with the pin 70. The pin 70 is placed in a hole 80 that extends through the complete adapter 20 through its centerline. The edge of the tooth 30 facing the wing cover 50 prevents horizontal movement of the wing cover 50. [00041] Theft control point 90 is used during the manufacturing process to monitor production quality. [00042] The wing deck of the invention 50 is suitable for any type of bucket for an earthmoving machine. Especially, said wing covers 50 are offered for any ground penetrating (G.E.T.) tools, such as buckets for a mining machine. [00043] The wing cover of the invention also fits into different types of tooth adapters that differ from the adapter as described above. A cast corner tooth adapter 200 is shown in Figure 6. The adapter 200 comprises a vertical portion 210 that extends vertically from the top surface of the adapter 200 and forms a portion of the side plate of the bucket. The upper edge of the vertical portion is connected along line 450 to a bucket, in particular to the bucket sidewall. Typically, adapter 200 is connected to the bucket by a welding process that forms weld line 450. [00044] The sockets 56 of the wing cover of the invention 50 are also engaged in the slots 600 in the side walls of the adapter 200 to secure the wing cover 50 to the adapter 200 without any aid of additional parts. Slots 600 are located on each side wall of adapter 200 where the shape of each slot 600 is aligned with the common socket shape for receiving respective sockets 56. The opening 54 of the wing cover neck member 50 is adapted to receive the leading edge 220 of vertical portion 210 of adapter 200. It is also possible for neck member 52 to receive a small portion of leading edge 41 of bucket sidewall 40. [00045] A tooth 30 can be placed in the adapter 200 and bolted with a peg 70. The peg 70 is placed in the hole 800 which extends through the complete adapter 200 through its centerline.
