DESCRIPTION
The invention relates to a package for a built-in component such as a lighting fixture, for example a downlighter or spot, which built-in component is adapted to be mounted in a mounting opening in a ceiling plate or tile of, for example, a system ceiling.
To prevent a ceiling plate or tile from sagging under the influence of the weight of a recessed lighting fixture and / or because of the structural nature of the tile in question and / or due to the relative circumstances, a somewhat heavier fixture can be a reinforcement plate made of wood or metal, usually referred to as back timber, spot plate or support plate. As this problem can also occur when installing other built-in components than lighting fixtures, such as, for example, loudspeakers, cameras, fire alarms, emergency lighting, motion sensors, air vents and other installation components that can be installed in a ceiling plate or tile, use can also be made in such cases made from a similar reinforcement plate (backwood). The present invention has for its object to provide measures whereby the packaging of a built-in component can simply be (re) used as reinforcement plate (back timber), to prevent bending of the ceiling plate or tile by the weight of that built-in component. As a side effect it is achieved that the packaging does not have to be thrown away, but is used at the installation, thus saving costs and the environment.
According to the present invention there is thus provided a package for a fixture / recessed component, arranged to be mounted in a mounting opening in a ceiling plate or tile, which package is provided with at least one recess area whose shape and size corresponds to that of the mounting opening in the ceiling plate or tile and which is adapted to be able to be removed from that package manually or by simple means after the fixture has been removed from the package, such that at least one opening is formed in the package, the shape and size of which corresponds to that of the mounting opening in the ceiling plate or tile. The sparing areas are preferably delimited by a tear or perforation line.
The package preferably comprises at least two sparring areas and furthermore at least one fold or crease line 2018/5101, adapted to be able to fold over the at least two sparring areas after the fixture has been taken out of the package. In this way, a backwood reinforcement plate is formed which consists of two layers of packaging material, in particular corrugated cardboard. Preferably, at least one further folding or creasing line is furthermore provided for being able to fold over at least one further part of the package, whereby a reinforcement plate can be formed with a total of three layers of packaging material. In addition, at least one adhesive strip or zone is preferably provided in order to be able to stick different parts of the package together, so that a solid whole is formed.
In the proposed manner, each luminaire package can be converted with a minimum of actions into a rear timber plate that reinforces the ceiling plate or tile, after which the luminaire, via the opening in the ceiling plate or tile and the opening in the (saving areas of the) folds up and layers of packaging material glued to each other can be mounted.
The present invention has arisen from the observation that with large numbers of lighting spots in a building it is often possible to remove containers full of packaging material and then suppliers drive off and on with so-called backwood to protect the piafond tiles against sagging after the spots have been installed. This all costs money and adds nothing

With the smart packaging of sturdy corrugated cardboard presented here in combination with the specific type of punching and creasing work, a simple folding action can be used to convert enough backwood to prevent sagging of system ceiling tiles, etc. In the end there is little or no waste material left, which saves the environment in a way that saves money for the user.
The invention will now be further discussed with reference to the figure description below.
Figure 1 shows an exemplary embodiment of a package according to the invention.
Figure 1 shows an exemplary embodiment of a package 1 for a fixture (or other built-in component), for example made of corrugated cardboard, which fixture is intended and adapted to be mounted in a mounting opening in a ceiling plate or tile.
The package 1 shown in Figure 1 is provided with two retaining areas 2, the (circle) shape and size of which correspond to those of the mounting opening in a ceiling plate or tile. The retaining areas 2 are adapted to be able to be removed from that package manually or with simple means after the fixture has been taken out of the package and after the package has been unfolded into a flat deflection, so that in the package two
BE2018 / 5101 recesses (openings) arise whose shape and size corresponds to those of the mounting opening in a ceiling plate or tile.
In the exemplary embodiment shown in Figure 1, the retaining areas 2 are delimited by a tear or perforation line 3, through which two openings (also indicated by reference numeral 2) can be formed simply and manually.
The package 1 further comprises, apart from the two retaining areas 2, a folding or creasing line 4 which is adapted to allow the portions of the package in which the two retaining areas 2 are situated to overlap one another (indicated by arrow 5), so that two retaining areas / openings 2 will overlap.
Furthermore, the package 1 comprises two further folding or creasing lines 6 which are adapted to be able to fold in the side portions 7 of the package 1 (indicated by the arrows 8).
The package 1 also comprises a number of adhesive strips 9 which are adapted to be able to stick the different parts of the package 1 against each other, so that a strong reinforcing element (backwood) is formed, which consists of a total of three layers of packaging material (ie corrugated cardboard), such as in particular in the cross-section of Figure 1c.

CONCLUSIONS
