MOBILE TIRE CENTER
ΒΕ2ΒΕ0ίΒΒ83'8828
TECHNICAL DOMAIN
The invention relates to the technical field of tire mounting. In a first aspect, the invention relates to a mobile tire center comprising a unit, said unit comprising a tire replacement device and a wheel balancing device.
STATE OF THE ART
Wheel balancing is a well-known concept within the relevant technical field and concerns the distribution of weight within a tire or a complete wheel. A wheel includes a rim and a tire. The weight distribution for rotating parts is described using an inertia tensor with three main axes. The mounting axis on which the wheel is mounted must correspond to one of the main axes of the inertia tensor.
If the mounting axis does not match one of the main axes of the inertial tensor, when driving the mounting axis, the acceleration axis is not coaxial with the mounting axis. The mounting shaft suspension should then apply reaction forces to the mounting shaft, causing vertical and lateral vibrations of the vehicle. The vibrations increase with the driving speed. If the rotation frequency of the mounting shaft reaches the natural frequency of the suspension, it may even result in the excitation of the suspension, resulting in very large vibrations and disturbances.
A finely balanced wheel significantly accelerates tire, rim, mounting and tire wear. This has a negative effect on durability, as these parts need to be replaced more often. This also has a negative effect on the autonomy of the vehicle, as the vehicle has to be serviced or repaired more often. Correct wheel balancing is therefore important. In static wheel balancing, the weight distribution is corrected based on measurements where the wheel does not rotate. In dynamic wheel balancing, the weight distribution is corrected based on measurements where the wheel rotates at high speed. Dynamic wheel balancing is more accurate than static wheel balancing. One way to correct the weight distribution is to apply correction weights to the wheel.
ΒΕ2ΒΕ0ίΒΒ83'8828
There are commercial wheel balancing devices on the market. An example of a dynamic wheel balancing device is described in document US 8,276,447. Because the device must perform measurements on a rotating wheel with high accuracy, the stability of the device is important. For this, on the one hand, the dimensions, weight and weight distribution of the device are important, and on the other hand the stable arrangement of the device on a surface.
For inspection and repair of a vehicle, the customer usually transfers to a garage where the necessary equipment is available. In order to save time for the customer, the garage owner can also move the necessary material to the customer. An example of a mobile vehicle repair unit is described in document US 8,955,897. This mobile unit is a fixed cargo truck, comprising a compressed air system, a tire mounting device, and a wheel balancing device. The truck's fixed cargo area makes contact with the ground via a suspension wheel suspension. As a result, a dynamic wheel balancing device is less able to take measurements on a rotating wheel due to the vibration of the suspension suspension. In addition, each wheel must be brought into the fixed loading space of the truck in order to be able to replace the tire of the wheel and / or to balance the wheel. The loading space of the truck also includes replacement tires. Removing or installing tires creates a different weight distribution of the load space on the suspension wheel. In order to obtain very accurate measurements, the wheel balancing device must be recalibrated when a tire is removed or fitted.
The invention in this document solves these problems.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION
A wheel is a cylindrical object that can rotate around a mounting axis for forward movement. In the context of the present invention, a wheel always comprises a tire and a rim.
Wheel balancing refers to the technical field of weight distribution in a tire and / or a complete wheel. A purpose of wheel balancing is to sufficiently coaxially align a major axis of the inertia tensor of the wheel with the mounting axis of the wheel.
For the purposes of the present invention, the term "unit" describes an entity capable of transporting a number of elements together that the entity comprises.
A tire-changing device is an aid suitable for mounting and / or disassembling a tire on or from a rim.
ΒΕ2ΘΕ0ΖΒΒ3 8828
A wheel balancing device includes a device, machine, and / or wheel balancing aid.
In the context of the present invention, the term "substrate" has the meaning of a load-bearing surface external to the invention. Examples of a surface are a road surface, a parking lot, a quay, a meadow, and a roadside.
In the context of the present invention, the term "spring-free" describes a property of an object and a surface with the meaning that the object can be set up on the surface without supporting the object by
- suspensions external to the object,
- wheel suspensions external to the object, and / or
- elements external to the object suitable for damping vibrations.
In a first aspect, the invention relates to a mobile tire center comprising a unit, said unit comprising:
- a mounting device to replace tires;
- a wheel balancing device; and
- optionally, a tire repair device, said unit being provided with means for resiliently mounting said wheel balancing device on a surface.
This is advantageous because the unit can be placed near one or more vehicles of one or more customers, which saves customers time. This is also advantageous because the measurements with the wheel balancing device can be accurately performed because the said device can be set up without suspension.
In a preferred embodiment of the mobile tire center, said unit comprises a container, which can be transported with a vehicle, preferably a motorized transport vehicle.
This is advantageous because the container can be placed on a surface, whereby the wheel balancing device is therefore set up spring-free, allowing accurate measurements with the wheel balancing device. This is also advantageous because wheels can be easily brought into the container up to the tire changing device and the wheel balancing device. This is further also ne ^ 2 ^ ® ®® 8828 advantageous because a container can be positioned quickly and easily, and is immediately ready for operation.
In a further preferred embodiment of the mobile tire center, said container comprises a bottom side, which is provided with two or more rails, suitable for loading and unloading said container on a chassis of a vehicle.
This is advantageous because the rails on the underside of the container make it easier to align the container centrally on a carriage undercarriage.
The central alignment of the container is necessary in order to be able to transport it stably. This is also advantageous because the rails allow the container to be positioned essentially level. On delivery of the container, the wheel balancing device is calibrated once by the truck driver. This means that the weight distribution of the cargo space remains unchanged when tires are removed or fitted. To obtain very accurate measurements, the device for balancing wheels when removing or installing a tire therefore does not need to be recalibrated.
Figure 1 comprises a motorized transport vehicle 1 and a container 2 provided with rails 3. In the preferred embodiment of the mobile tire center in which the unit comprises a container 2, placing the container on the ground has the immediate consequence that the device for turning wheels is to be set up without suspension. The rails 3 of the container 2 are suitable for openly unloading the container 2 onto the chassis of the motorized transport vehicle 1 and to position the container essentially level.
In a preferred embodiment of the mobile tire center, the wheel balancing device is a dynamic wheel balancing device.
This is advantageous because dynamic wheel balancing is more accurate than static wheel balancing. Namely, in dynamic wheel balancing, measurements are performed on a wheel that rotates about its mounting axis. This type of measurement better reflects the usage situation where wheel balancing is important than static measurements.
In a preferred embodiment of the mobile tire center, the unit includes § 2 ® Œ S®B83'8828 tire repair means.
This is advantageous because flat tires can be repaired on site, and replacement tires are not required for repairable flat tires.
In a preferred embodiment of the mobile tire center, said unit comprises an autonomous flow group and a compressed air installation, and the unit can further comprise a workbench and / or a tire spreader.
The presence of an autonomous power group is advantageous because it ensures that no external power supply is required for the operation of the unit. The presence of a compressed air system is advantageous because it allows the inflation, repair, and balancing of tires. The mobile tire center is self-sufficient due to the presence of an autonomous power group and a compressed air system. The presence of a workbench is advantageous because it allows maintenance and repair work to be carried out in an upright position, which considerably reduces the load on the back. The presence of a tire spreader is advantageous because it allows to keep the tire open, which allows and / or facilitates work on the inside of the tire.
In a preferred embodiment of the mobile tire center, the unit comprises a first compartment and a second compartment, the first compartment being shielded from the second compartment by one or more walls, and the first compartment comprising the autonomous flow group, and the second compartment includes the tire changing device and the wheel balancing device.
This is advantageous because a technician working in the second compartment can use the tire changing device and / or the wheel balancing device is shielded from possible noise and / or odor nuisance from the autonomous power group.
In a preferred embodiment of the mobile tire center, the compressed air installation comprises a compressor and a compressed air vessel, the first compartment of the unit comprising the compressor, and the second compartment comprising the compressed air vessel.
ΒΕ2ΒΕ0ίΒΒ83'8828
This is advantageous because a technician working in the second compartment can use the tire changing device and / or the wheel balancing device and / or the air pump to inflate tires is protected from possible noise from the compressor.
In an embodiment of the mobile tire center, said unit is provided with two or more stabilizer legs, preferably four stabilizer legs.
In an embodiment, where the unit is a fixed cargo truck, stabilizer legs may be mounted on the truck chassis. In another embodiment, where the unit is a container, stabilizer legs may be mounted on the container itself.
This is advantageous because the presence of stabilizer legs allows a unit to be set up without suspension on the ground, and therefore also the wheel balancing device, even if the unit is provided with suspensions, wheel suspensions, and / or elements suitable for damping of vibrations, such as these can occur in a truck with a fixed loading space.
In a preferred embodiment of the mobile tire center, the unit is essentially beam-shaped, and the unit comprises three dimensions along the ribs of the beam, the first dimension being longer than the second and the third dimension, and the unit comprising a rectangular side wall , That:
- a first rib and a second rib of the beam with lengths equal to the first dimension,
- comprises a third rib and a fourth rib of the beam with lengths equal to the second or third dimension,
a first door panel comprising Hinges about an axis substantially coaxial with the third rib, and
a second door panel comprising Hinges about an axis essentially coaxial with the fourth rib.
This is advantageous because a side wall of the unit no smaller than another side wall of the unit can be opened, and access for persons, wheels, tires, other material, and daylight to the unit is therefore optimal.
Figure 2 is a schematic representation of an embodiment of the unit 2BE8ffiB83'8828 according to the first aspect of the invention, the unit comprising a container 2. The container is beam-shaped with a base with two short and two long sides. A side wall along one of the long sides consists of two door panels that can be opened. The container has two compartments. A first compartment 4 comprises an autonomous flow group and a compressor of a compressed air installation. A panel 5 includes one or more wall sockets to connect to the autonomous power generator. The second compartment comprises a compressed air tank 6, a dynamic wheel balancing device 7, the tire replacement device 8, and one or more hydraulic jacks 9.
Figure 3 is a schematic representation of a floor plan of an embodiment of a container 2 according to the first aspect of the invention.
The container has two compartments. An autonomous flow group 11 and a compressor 12 of a compressed air installation are located in a first compartment of the container. The second compartment contains a compressed air vessel
6, a dynamic wheel balancing device 7, a tire changing device 8, a workbench 13, a tire spreader 14, a reel and a hose to connect to the compressed air system, and one or more hydraulic jacks 9.
In a second aspect, the present invention relates to a tire replacement method comprising the steps of:
a. Providing a mobile tire center according to the first aspect of the invention comprising a unit (2) comprising a tire replacement device (8) and a wheel balancing device (7),
b. providing one or more vehicles to be treated, comprising one or more wheels,
c. providing one or more replacement tires,
d. transporting the unit (2) close to one of the vehicles to be treated,
e. transporting the replacement tires close to the unit (2),
f. the suspension-free installation of the wheel-balancing device (7),
g. disassembling a wheel from one of the vehicles to be treated,
h. removing the tire from the rim of the disassembled wheel and hfêS2BŒ8IBB83'8828 applying a replacement tire to the rim using the tire replacement device (8), and
i. inflating the applied replacement tire,
j. balancing the disassembled wheel or another wheel using measurements made in the unit (2) with the wheel balancing device (7), and
k. mounting the balanced wheel on one of the vehicles to be treated.
This is advantageous because the unit is brought in the vicinity of one or more vehicles of one or more customers, which saves time for the customers, and because the measurements with the wheel balancing device are carried out accurately because the said device is set up without suspension . This is further advantageous because the unit can be transported once for use over several days, and the replacement tires can be replenished every day as needed or according to schedule.
In a preferred embodiment of the tire replacement method, steps g, h, i, j and k are repeated one or more times to balance one or more wheels of one or more vehicles to be treated.
This is advantageous because only one transport of the unit is required to balance several wheels of one or more vehicles.
Furthermore, the method may also comprise the necessary steps to optimize the planning for the maintenance of several vehicles.
A preferred embodiment of the tire replacement method comprises the steps:
l. providing a reservation system including times and locations of the unit, and
m. making reservations in the reservation system for the vehicles to be treated at a specific time and location.
This is advantageous because customers can see in the reservation system where the unit will be located in the future, and because customers can make a reservation for their vehicle at a time convenient to them at a location nearby henßS2BE8ffiB83'8828.
A preferred embodiment of the tire replacement method, wherein the vehicles to be treated each include a license plate, comprises the steps of:
l. providing a reservation system comprising times and locations of the unit, which can also keep vehicle registration numbers,
m. making reservations in the reservation system for the vehicles to be treated at a specific time and location based on the license plates, and
c. providing one or more replacement tires based on the license plates in the reservation system.
This is advantageous because for tire replacement, knowledge of the number plates in the reservation system makes it possible to deliver only the tires required for the reservations made to the unit location, and therefore no general stock of replacement tires is required at the location of the unit.
In a third aspect, the invention relates to the use of the method according to the second aspect of the invention, whereby a joint location is provided for the serial treatment of several vehicles.
This is advantageous because there are fewer net displacements. Customers do not need to move, and the unit only needs to be transported to one location.
EXAMPLE
ΒΕ2ΒΕ0ίΒΒ83'8828
The owner of a unit according to the first aspect of the invention, in which the unit is a beam-shaped container, makes an appointment with a company to come by for a structural maintenance of the commercial vehicles. The employees of the company are informed and make reservations in the reservation system according to the second aspect of the invention for the maintenance of their company car and thereby enter the registration number of their company car. The container is delivered. The container is thereby placed on a surface, the surface being the company's parking lot, and consequently the wheel balancing device is set up spring-free, allowing accurate measurements to be made with the wheel balancing device. The rails allow the container to be leveled. After installation on a substrate, the container is calibrated once. The necessary replacement tires are delivered daily on the basis of the license plates in the reservation system. Because the container is on the surface and one of the four side walls can be opened completely, the container is easily accessible.
On the day maintenance is scheduled, affected company employees can leave their car keys in a secure key safe. A technician treats the company cars in series according to the reservations in the reservation system.
With the hydraulic jacks from the container, the technician can fully or partially lift a car. This allows him to disassemble one or more wheels, roll them into the container, remove the tires from the rim, install the new replacement tires on the rim using the tire replacement device, inflate the tires using the compressed air system, dynamically balance the wheels with the dynamic wheel balancing device, return the wheels to the car, assemble the wheels, and remove the hydraulic jacks.
After work the keys are delivered to the reception. The employees of the company do not have to carry out additional journeys for the maintenance of their company car, in addition to the usual commuting.
