专利说明:
Framework for a window or door. The present invention relates to a frame for a window or door. More specifically, the invention is intended for sliding windows or sliding doors that are mainly made of aluminum profiles. Such sash windows or sliding doors have a frame with a bottom profile, i.e. the bottom profile, with surfaces on which rainwater can end up. To drain this water, the bottom profiles are provided with drainage holes along which the water can flow into the bottom profile and outlets along which the water can once again flow out of the bottom profile. To prevent air from being blown in, these outlets are normally provided with a valve that is open from the inside to the outside but not the other way around. The water can only flow from the outlets in the bottom profile if the water pressure at the location of the valve is higher than the wind pressure. For this purpose, the water level internally in the bottom profile must have a certain height above the valve in order to have sufficient pressure. Depending on the desired application, the maximum wind pressure for which a window is designed can differ. For example, when placed at a certain height, the wind pressure can rise to 600 Pa or more, so correspond to a water column of approximately 6 cm height. Naturally, the bottom profile must have sufficient internal height to be able to contain such a water column, because otherwise no drainage can take place. However, for aesthetic reasons, thin profiles, so with a low height, are desirable. A conflict therefore arises between the desire to have low soil profiles and the technical necessity of having a minimum height in order to have space for the required water column in order to have sufficient pressure for controlled water discharge. The present invention has for its object to provide a solution to the aforementioned and other disadvantages in that it provides a frame for a window or door, wherein the frame is made of profiles which are connected to each other, said profiles comprising a bottom profile which is located on the underside of the frame, wherein the bottom profile is provided with one or more drainage holes for water to drain away from a top of the bottom profile through the bottom profile, the bottom profile being provided with one or more first outlets for said water, wherein the outlets are in open communication with at least one of the drainage holes, the frame being provided with a drainage piece for water discharge wherein the drainage piece is provided with an inlet and a second outlet which are in open connection with each other, the inlet being higher than the second outlet, with the inlet connecting, preferably airtight and watertight, to an honor first outlet. It is noted here that the bottom profile is in practice a composite profile of a number of aluminum and plastic sub-profiles connected to each other. Thanks to such a drain piece, a required water column height cannot be formed in, but under the profile, so that the profile can be properly drained. The vertical distance between the inlet and the second outlet determines the height of the water column that can be present in the discharge piece, and can be chosen such that good drainage is also possible for applications where a high wind pressure is expected. The second outlet is herein preferably provided with a valve that opens if the pressure on the inside is higher than on the outside. The outlet piece preferably comprises a horizontal tube which is connected with an open connection to a vertical tube, the inlet being in the horizontal tube and the second outlet being in the vertical tube. This allows the horizontal pipe to be concealed invisibly in the bottom profile or behind a cover profile on the bottom profile, the vertical pipe being located on the side and therefore not in front of an underlying window. The horizontal tube is preferably a rectangular or square tube in cross-section, so that it can be placed flush against the bottom of the bottom profile. The invention furthermore comprises a curtain wall which comprises a number of lines and a number of posts and which comprises a frame according to the invention wherein the second outlet is located in one of the posts, wherein the respective post is at a position lower than the second outlet. equipped with a third outlet for water. With the insight to better demonstrate the characteristics of the invention, a preferred embodiment of a part of a curtain wall according to the invention is described below as an example without any limiting character, with reference to the accompanying drawings, in which: figure 1 shows diagrammatically and represents a part of a curtain wall in front view; figure 2 represents a part of the curtain wall of figure 1 in perspective; figure 3 represents a part of the curtain wall of figure 1 in perspective during the construction of the curtain wall; figure 4 represents the part of figure 3 of the curtain wall during a later moment of construction; and figure 5 represents a part of the curtain wall of figures 3 and 4 on a larger scale and from a different angle, The main structure of the curtain wall 1 of figure 1 is formed by lines 2 and posts 3. In this, windows are arranged above one another, and possibly, but not in this example, also next to each other, with only one window being shown in this example. This is a sliding window with a wing 5 that can be moved from a closed to an open position by moving it to the right. The posts 3 are provided with openings (not shown) to the outside at a lower level than the window 4, through which water can flow out and through which air can flow in and out. The sliding window comprises a frame 6 which is built into the posts 3 and lines 2. The frame 6 is made of aluminum profiles, including a bottom profile 7. A part of the bottom profile 7, in particular a part that connects to the right-hand side profile 8, is shown in Figure 2, The bottom profile 7 comprises a space 9 where the wing 5 is located. Rainwater can end up on this, both in the closed state and in the open state of the wing 5, wherein in a closed state there is a pressure difference between inside and outside caused by the wind pressure. To remove this rainwater, drainage holes 10 are provided in the top wall of the bottom profile 7 which open into an internal cavity 11 of the bottom profile 7, there is further provided a passage 12 between this internal cavity 11 and a further internal cavity 13 and a first outlet 14 provided at the bottom of the bottom profile 7. As is especially clear from Figure 4, a discharge piece 15 is provided under the first outlet 14. In this example, the drain piece 15 is made of aluminum and consists essentially of a straight, horizontal trough 16 with an open top, which is coupled to a vertical pipe 17 which is closed at the bottom and which is provided with a valve formed near its bottom by: a hinged flap 18 that is pressed shut by its own weight and thereby closes an opening 20. The discharge piece 15 can of course also be made wholly or partly from other materials, such as plastic. In Figures 3 to 5, the flap 18 is shown in a partially open position for clarity. The open top forms the inlet 19 of the discharge piece 15 and the opening closed by the valve 18 forms the outlet of the discharge piece 15, hereinafter referred to as the second outlet 20. The vertical distance A between the inlet 19 of the discharge piece and the second outlet 20 is approximately 8 cm in this example. The drain piece 15 is watertight and airtight, with its inlet 19 connecting to the first outlet 14 of the bottom profile 7, mounted below the bottom profile 7. The dimensions of the discharge piece 15 and the location of the first outlet 14 are such that the vertical tube 17 of the discharge piece 15 is in a post 3. The operation of the drainage frame 6 is simple and as follows. When water lands on the top of the bottom profile 7, this water flows via the drainage holes 10, the passage 12 in the bottom profile, the first outlet 14 and the inlet 19 of the discharge piece 15 to the vertical tube 17 of the discharge piece 15. The posts 3 are open to the outside in such a way that the same pressure prevails therein as on the outside of the curtain wall 1. This means that the wind pressure, i.e. the pressure exerted by the wind on the curtain wall, is also present in the posts 3. As soon as the water level in the vertical tube 17 of the discharge piece 15 is so high that the pressure exerted by this water on the valve 18 is higher than the wind pressure, the valve 18 opens and the water flows from the vertical tube 17 into the pillars 3, as indicated by the arrows P in figure 1. The water then flows further out through the openings provided in the posts 3 for this purpose. As long as the wind pressure is higher than the water pressure in the vertical tube 17, the valve 18 remains closed. Of course, the length of the vertical tube 17 can be chosen such that at all foreseeable wind speeds and associated wind pressures, the height of the water column above the valve 18 can be sufficiently high to be able to open the valve 18. As a result, water can flow away in all wind conditions from the upper surface of bottom profile 7 through the provided drainage holes 10. In an alternative embodiment, the discharge piece 15 is designed in three parts, more precisely as a horizontal channel 16 with a connection for a vertical tube 17, a separate tube that can be connected to that connection and a valve connecting to that separate tube. The individual tube can then be sawn to the desired length, after which the discharge piece 15 can easily be assembled from the three parts. As a result, the length of the vertical tube 17 can easily be adapted to the length required in a specific situation. The present invention is by no means limited to the embodiment described as an example and shown in the figures, but a frame according to the invention can be realized in all shapes and sizes without departing from the scope of the invention.
