STAI FLOOR SEAL
The invention relates to a stable floor comprising: at least two elongated floor parts arranged at a distance from each other, wherein a gap is formed between the floor parts for discharging animal droppings; a valve device arranged in the gap for closing this gap, the valve device comprising a flexible strip which is adhered to a floor part with the top side and wherein the bottom side of the flexible strip is freely movable for the passage of the animal excrements or closing the crack.
Such a device is known, for example, from NL 2005883. This publication describes a stable floor, wherein a slit running obliquely from top to bottom is formed between the floor parts, in which a flexible strip hangs. This flexible strip hangs downwards as a result of gravity and the flexible strip seals the gap because of the slanting position of the slit. The underside of the flexible strip can thereby be weighted.
The disadvantage of this construction is the complex design of the edges of the floorboards. The floor parts are usually made of concrete and with such a complex design of the edge complex molds are also required.
WO 2006 103534 describes a stable floor in which more conventionally designed floor parts are used. A flexible strip is attached to each floor part, which strip hangs in the gap between two floor parts. A thickening is provided on the underside of each flexible strip. The thickenings of both strips in a gap abut each other, whereby the gap is closed. The thickenings are arranged symmetrically with respect to the flexible strip.
Although the flexible strips abut each other, they can easily move apart, for example as a result of an air flow.
It is an object of the invention to reduce or even prevent the above disadvantages.
This object is achieved according to the invention with a stable floor according to the preamble, which is characterized in that the valve device comprises weighting means, which are arranged outside the plane of the flexible strip and near the underside.
The weighting means are thus arranged asymmetrically, as a result of which the weighting means bring about a skew position of the flexible strip and can thus even press the underside to obtain a more reliable seal.
Moreover, the gap between the floor parts can be straight, since the weighting means ensure that the flexible strip is skewed in the gap, so that the gap is sealed.
A flexible strip is understood to mean at least a strip of a flexible material, such as, for example, rubber. The flexible strip can also be constructed from a rigid material, such as a metal plate, and the flexibility is obtained by providing a hinge in the strip.
Floor parts according to the invention are understood to mean parts of a floor. A floor part can be a floor plate, but a floor part can also be a part of a floor or a floor plate. The gap can thus be formed between two floor plates, but can also be arranged in a floor between two floor parts. The slit can therefore run in the longitudinal direction, but also in the transverse direction or at a different angle.
In a preferred embodiment of the stable floor according to the invention, the weighting means are formed as a thickening of the flexible strip.
Flexible strips can easily be made by means of extrusion. In such a case, a thickening can also be easily applied to the underside of the strip. Preferably the thickening is massive.
In a preferred embodiment of the stable floor according to the invention, the thickening of the flexible strip extends on either side of the strip and on one side of the strip an air chamber is provided in the thickening and the part of the thickening is on the other side is massive.
The air chamber in the bulge ensures that one side of the bulge is relatively flexible and can therefore easily form to the surface against which the underside of the flexible strip abuts. For example, it is possible to provide a knife edge against which the thickening rests with the air chamber. Due to the additional pressing of the solid part of the thickening, a good seal is thus obtained, while animal droppings can pass easily.
In another preferred embodiment of the stable floor according to the invention, the valve device comprises a second flexible strip formed substantially the same as the first flexible strip, the second flexible strip being adhered to the other floor part and abutting the bottom side in a sealing manner against the bottom side of the stable floor. the first strip.
By providing a flexible strip on both floor parts that bound the gap, which strip are each bent towards the center of the gap by the weighting means, it is thus easier to bridge a larger gap width and to seal it.
In yet another embodiment of the stable floor according to the invention, the gap between the floor parts widens from top to bottom.
Due to the widening, extra space is provided for bending away the flexible strips. In addition, the risk of clogging of the gap by animal excrement is considerably reduced.
The flexible strips can optionally be cut along the length at different places to make the different parts thus obtained move more easily relative to each other.
These and other features of the invention are further elucidated with reference to the accompanying drawings.
Figure 1 shows in perspective view a first embodiment of a stable floor according to the invention.
Figure 2 shows in cross-sectional view a detail of the stable floor according to figure 1.
Figure 3 shows in cross-sectional view a detail of a second embodiment according to the invention.
Figure 4 shows in cross-sectional view a detail of a third embodiment according to the invention.
Figure 5 shows a variant of the embodiment according to Figure 4 in cross-sectional view.
Figure 1 shows in perspective view and partly in cross-section a first embodiment of a stable floor 1 according to the invention. This stable floor 1 lies on a manure cellar 2. The stable floor 1 itself is constructed from floor plates 3. Gaps 4 are provided between a few floor plates 3, so that animal excrements can be scraped off the floor 1 and be discharged into the manure cellar 2.
Figure 2 shows in cross-sectional view a detail of a gap 4. A flexible strip 5 is arranged in the gap 4. This flexible strip 5 can extend over the entire length of a floor plate 3 or different pieces can be provided over this length.
The upper edge of the flexible strip 5 is provided with a beaded edge 6, which is cast into the concrete of the floor plate 3.
A solid bulge 8 is provided outside the surface 7 of the flexible strip 5. On the other side of the surface 7 a hollow thickening 9 with a thin wall is provided. Due to the heavy massive bulge 8, the flexible strip with the hollow bulge 9 will be pressed against the nose 10 of the floor plate 3. The hollow thickening 9 will easily collapse and thereby easily absorb any unevenness.
When animal droppings fall through the slit 4 from above, the flexible strip 5 will easily bend away to allow passage of the droppings. Thereafter, due to the weight of the bulge 8, the flexible strip 5 will bend back again, so that the hollow bulge 9 closes again against the nose 10 of the floor plate 3.
Figure 3 shows a second embodiment of a stable floor 20 according to the invention. The stable floor 20 is made up of floor plates 21, between which a gap 22 is formed.
On the right-hand floor plate 21 shown in Figure 3, a flexible strip 23 with the top side 24 is provided. Outside the plane 25 of the flexible strip 23, an aggravating bulge 26 is provided on the flexible strip 23. On the other side of the surface 25 a hollow thickening 27 is provided, which abuts against a knife edge-shaped edge 28 of the floor plate 21. Due to the relatively small surface of the knife edge-shaped edge 28, the wall of the hollow thickening 27 is easily pressed, whereby a good seal is obtained.
Figure 4 shows a third embodiment of a stable floor 30 according to the invention. This stable floor 30 is made up of parallel floor plates 31, between which a gap 32 is formed. The slit 32 widens from top to bottom.
Two flexible strips 33 are arranged in the slit 32 and are each attached to a floor plate 31 with an upper edge 34. A weighting 36 is provided outside the surface 35 of each flexible strip 33 and a hollow thickening 37 is provided on the other side of the surface 35.
The hollow bulges 37 face each other and are pressed against each other by the respective weightings 36. Despite the large width of the gap 32 on the underside of the floor plate 31, a reliable seal can nevertheless be achieved in this way, while animal droppings can pass easily.
Figure 5 shows a variant 40 of the embodiment 30 according to Figure 4. The same parts are designated with the same reference numerals.
In this embodiment of the stable floor 40, the two flexible strips 33 are also provided with reinforcements 36 outside the surface 35 and with hollow thickenings 37.
