During assembly (without a key), the bolt is installed in a position in which the driver has not yet engaged. Then or later, with the mailbox closed, the bolt can be turned through the opening of the mailbox until the driver clicks into place, either by hand or with a special tool. If the opening is far away or very small, the latch can also be connected by a flexible connection which is pulled through the opening, e.g. through a cord. As soon as the driver clicks into place, there is a fixed connection as with standard lever cylinders, the mailbox can only be opened with the key. Manipulation security is therefore not, or only insignificantly, reduced with a suitably designed form fit. The driver is preferably a resilient locking element. This resilient driver can engage in a recess or depression in the bolt and thus establish the positive connection. It is particularly advantageous that, with the exception of the resilient latching element, hardly any additional manufacturing effort is required. For example, the base cylinder can be a standard lever lock cylinder, and the lever can be a standard bolt into which an opening or a recess for the form-fitting connection is incorporated. The storage for the bolt can be an easily manufactured turned part. If the driver dips into a recess (and not a through hole) of the lever when the positive connection is made, the positive connection is particularly difficult to release. Another advantage of the lever lock cylinder according to the invention is that a change to a bolt without a locking function can be carried out very easily, even by the end customer. In contrast to a conventional lever-lock cylinder, the lever 14 in the lever-lock cylinder 11 according to the invention is initially not (see FIGS. 1-3) non-rotatably connected to the cylinder core 13, but is rotatably mounted thereon. In addition, a driver 16 is provided, which is rotatably connected to the cylinder core 13. As long as the lever lock cylinder 11 is in the position shown in Figs. 1-3, it can be mounted on the door of a mailbox and the door can be closed. The lever 14 is namely - although the lock is in the closed position - in the open position.
