The invention relates to an intermediate water dispenser.
There are water dispensers, mostly in the form of free-standing or self-sufficient devices, which are increasingly being installed in locations which are frequented by a large number of people. Such water dispensers can be found in particular in public authorities, offices and other institutions, but also in shops and department stores. The water from these water dispensers comes from water tanks, which are inserted into the respective water dispenser on most models. An advantage of such known water dispensers is that they work autonomously and can be set up as required without any particular restrictions. Because of the fairly simple technology of such water dispensers, they have a long lifespan, which is generally greater than 15 years and which can also be as long as 30 years.
A disadvantage of such water dispensers is that their water consumption is dependent on the withdrawal and is therefore difficult to predict. Most of the water dispensers are serviced by companies that are specifically responsible for them, and the water tanks are also replaced or replaced. Due to the unpredictable water level situation, there may be an unnecessary replacement of a water container as part of a pre-determined maintenance date, as well as an empty water dispenser.
Against water dispensers, which are able to record the remaining water in the connected water tank itself and also to issue corresponding messages regarding a replacement, speak that the replacement would be necessary to use fully conventional water dispensers.
In addition to the purchase costs of new water dispensers, electrical devices have a significantly reduced life and service life compared to the mechanically simple water dispensers, as well as a higher susceptibility to errors. Based on the current availability and lifespan of electronic components, it must be assumed that within 10 to 15 years after the introduction of an electronic product, it will no longer be possible to guarantee the supply of spare parts, particularly with regard to ICs and PPs. Should there be a component defect, such devices can become irreparable within a short lifespan for the device itself. In addition
2/13
36499 such devices use certain communications standards for data transmission. Due to the constant improvement and change of such standards, such fully equipped water dispensers will sooner or later no longer be able to communicate as intended, either because a certain transmission standard is no longer supported by the network operators or because entire networks are taken out of service, such as this has often been the case in the past. For example, water dispensers from the late 1980s are still in use when the German C network was the widespread mobile radio standard, while the C networks concerned were completely switched off and disassembled, and no backward-compatible successor technology is available.
The object of the invention is therefore to provide an intermediate water dispenser of the type mentioned at the beginning, with which the disadvantages mentioned can be avoided, with which the water supply security of a water dispenser can be improved with little, and the life of the water dispenser is not restricted.
According to the invention this is achieved by the features of claim 1.
This means that existing water dispensers can also be retrofitted so that they can at least send messages to a service company or another interested party regarding the amount of water dispensed or the water level in the water dispenser. In this way, a condition can be avoided in which a water dispenser undetected has no more water to dispense by sending a message to an employee or a company who is responsible for replacing the water container when a predeterminable remaining fill quantity is reached in the water container .
As a result, further information relating to the operation or
Operating status of the water dispenser relate, such as the operation according to a provided function, or the water temperature, to be stopped or sent. This makes it possible to retrofit existing and still reliable devices easily and with little effort. As a transport

In some cases, the water dispenser can be easily carried out on site using an already installed water dispenser, the environment is also protected. In the event of a defect in the water dispenser intermediate part, it can be replaced easily, quickly and easily. Even if the
The water dispenser is still partially available. A combination of water dispenser and water dispenser intermediate part can easily be adapted to changing technical framework conditions, such as a changed telecommunications environment, by simply replacing an existing water dispenser intermediate part with a new water dispenser intermediate part that is adapted to the current state of the art of transmission technology, without any changes to the water dispenser themselves would have to be carried out. As a result, operation of a water dispenser over its entire service life is possible without restriction, additional functions being able to be kept up to date by adapting or replacing the intermediate water dispenser part.
As a result, a service provider who regrets certain water dispensers can be changed simply by changing the water dispenser intermediate parts.
The subclaims relate to further advantageous refinements of the invention.
Reference is hereby expressly made to the wording of the patent claims, as a result of which the claims are inserted at this point by reference into the description and are considered to be reproduced verbatim.
The invention is described in more detail with reference to the accompanying drawings, in which only preferred embodiments are shown by way of example. It shows:

1 shows a schematic representation of a water dispenser intermediate part 1, the water dispenser intermediate part 1 having first connection means 2 for connecting a water container 3 to the water dispenser intermediate part 1, the water dispenser intermediate part 1 having second connection means 4 for connecting the water dispenser intermediate part 1 to a water dispenser device 5, the The intermediate water dispenser part 1 has a water line piece 6 which connects the first connection means 2 to the second connection means 4, the intermediate water dispenser part 1 having a water consumption counter 7 for determining water consumption via the water line part 6, the intermediate water dispenser part 1 having at least one transmitting part 8, 9 for wireless transmission of Has water consumption values and / or water level messages of the water tank 3.
As a result, already existing water dispensers 5 can also be retrofitted in such a way that at least messages relating to the amount of water dispensed or the water level in the water container 3 of the water dispenser are received
Service company or another interested party. In this way, a condition can be avoided in which a water dispenser 5 has no longer any water available for dispensing, in that a corresponding message is sent to an employee or a company at the latest when a predeterminable remaining fill quantity in the water container 3 is reached, which message includes the replacement of the water container 3 are entrusted.

The combination of water dispenser 5 and water dispenser intermediate part 1 can be easily adapted to changing technical framework conditions, such as a changed telecommunications environment, by merely replacing an existing water dispenser intermediate part 1 with a new water dispenser intermediate part 1 which is adapted to the current state of the art of transmission technology, without any changes would have to be carried out on the water dispenser 5 itself. As a result, operation of a water dispenser 5 is possible without restriction over its entire service life, additional functions being able to be kept up to date by adapting or replacing the water dispenser intermediate part 1.
The present intermediate water dispenser part 1 is intended to be arranged between a water container 3 or water tank, which is designed approximately as a transparent plastic container with a capacity of, for example, 3 to 15 liters, and a water dispenser 5, which is also referred to objectively as a water dispenser device 5. Fig. 2 shows a schematic representation of such an arrangement. In addition to the water dispenser 5, the water container 3 and the water dispenser intermediate part 1, a drinking vessel 13 is also shown, which is in a
Water removal opening of the water dispenser 5 is arranged.
The intermediate water dispenser part 1 has first connection means 2 for connecting a water container 3 to the intermediate water dispenser part 1. The first connection means 2 are designed to be essentially watertight, and preferably correspondingly opposite to the connection means of a water container 3 to be arranged. The first connection means 2 are approximately formed with a screw thread and at least one sealing ring.
The intermediate water dispenser part 1 also has second connection means 4 for connecting the intermediate water dispenser part 1 to a water dispenser device 5. The second connection means 4 are also preferably designed to be watertight and correspondingly opposite to the connection means of a water dispenser 5. The second connection means 4 are approximately formed with a screw thread and at least one sealing ring.
6/13
36499
It is preferably provided that the first connection means 2 and the second connection means 4 are designed such that a release resistance of the first connection means 2 is less than a release resistance of the second connection means 4. This means that when the water tank 3 is replaced, the connection between the water dispenser intermediate part 1 and the water dispenser 5 is not opened. The resistance to the initial loosening of the corresponding fixed connection is referred to as the release resistance. In the preferred embodiment of the two connection means 2, 4 comprising screw threads, this would mean that the maximum torque required at the second connection means 4 is greater than the corresponding torque at the first connection means 2.
It is particularly preferably provided that a mechanical locking device is assigned to the second connection means 4, which requires a tool, in particular special or not commonly available, to separate the connection between the second connection means 4 and the water dispenser 5.
According to a preferred embodiment, it is provided that the first connection means 2 has a closure opening projection, which closure opening projection is designed and arranged such that in the course of the arrangement of a water container 3 on the first connection means 2, a closure of the water container 3, in particular a closure film, is opened, in particular severed or pierce. It can thereby be achieved that when the water container 3 is attached to the intermediate water dispenser part 1, the water container 3 is also opened. Such one
Closure opening projection is known, for example, from rotary closures in beverage cartons, in which a film-like fresh seal is simultaneously pierced or opened during the first opening process.
A water pipe section 6 of the intermediate water dispenser part 1 is arranged between the first connection means 2 and the second connection means 4. The water line piece 6 is designed approximately as a tube or hose.
The intermediate water dispenser part 1 has at least one water consumption meter 7
7/13
36499
Ί to determine a water consumption via the water pipe section 6. The water consumption counter 7 can be designed differently, the flow volume or the flow mass quantity from the water container 3 into the water dispenser 5 being recorded. It is preferably provided that the water consumption meter 7 comprises a mechanical meter, in particular an impeller meter, which enables a particularly simple implementation of an intermediate water dispenser part 1. According to a further embodiment, it is provided that the water consumption meter 7 is formed by means of a flow meter without mechanical, movable components within the water line piece 6, whereby the susceptibility to contamination can be reduced. Other types of water consumption meter 7 can also be provided.
The intermediate water dispenser part 1 preferably has a control and / or monitoring unit 10, which is preferably designed to comprise at least one microprocessor or microcontroller. The control and / or control unit 10 is operatively connected to the water consumption meter 7 or forms part of the water consumption meter 7, for example by automatically storing the meter reading when the water tank 3 is replaced and merely determining the deviating relative amount or by the control and / or control unit 10 carries out the actual counting process. The control and / or control unit 10 can furthermore be assigned at least one I / O interface and / or at least one memory module.
The water dispenser intermediate part 1 preferably has an internal energy supply 14, which supplies the control and / or control unit 10 and further assemblies of the water dispenser intermediate part 1 with electrical energy. It can be provided that the energy supply 14 is designed to be independent of the mains current, preferably comprising an accumulator, and / or that the
Power supply 14 comprising a so-called power supply unit, in particular a switching power supply, is formed, as a result of which a locally available power supply connection can optionally be used.
The intermediate water dispenser part 1 has at least one transmitting part 8, 9 for wireless transmission of water consumption values and / or water level messages
8/13
36499 of the water container 3. According to the preferred embodiment, it is provided that the intermediate water dispenser part 1 has a first transmission part 8 and a second transmission part 9, which are each designed for data transmission according to different standards or transmission protocols.
The at least one transmitting part 8, 9 is at least indirectly connected to the control and / or monitoring unit 10, and is therefore connected to the latter in terms of circuitry.
The at least one transmitting part 8, 9 is preferably designed as a bidirectional radio interface, as a result of which control data or software updates, for example for the control and / or control unit 10, can also be received. Alternatively, for example in environments in which radio traffic is problematic, data transmission based on infrared or ultrasound can also be provided.
It is also preferably provided that the at least one transmitting part 8, 9 for data transmission in accordance with GSM and / or GPRS and / or EDGE and / or UMTS and / or CDMA2000 and / or LTE and / or for data transmission in accordance with at least one of the standards in accordance with IEEE 802 , in particular IEEE 802.11, so-called W-LAN. This means that existing infrastructure can be used.
It is preferably also provided that the intermediate water dispenser part 1 has at least one line-bound interface 12, in particular in accordance with the USB standard and / or Ethernet, which interface 12 is at least indirectly connected to the control and / or control unit 10. As a result, if there is a network connection in the area where the water dispenser 5 is installed, this can also be used for communication with the intermediate water dispenser part 1. However, such an interface can also only be used to configure the intermediate water dispenser part 1, for example in the course of maintenance or new installation.
According to a preferred development, it is provided that
Water dispenser intermediate part 1 has at least one display 11, which display 11 is at least indirectly connected to the control and / or control unit 10. As a result, it is not only possible to read out status or problem reports from the control and / or control unit 10, but also, for example, to display
