专利说明:

The invention relates to a device for paw protection with a respective upper portion and lower portion having a shaft portion and a paw portion, which are peripherally connected in sections to form a shaft and an adjoining the shaft pawl receptacle.
To protect the paws of animals, especially dogs, shoes are known (US 5495828 A), which consist of an upper and a lower part, which are sewn together at their edges to form a pawl receptacle.
In order to prevent stripping of such a shoe, a circumferential sealing band is provided at some distance from the opening of the pawl receptacle.
Comparable embodiments are described in US 2014360053 A, US 2011041779 A or WO 09120723 A2, wherein all known devices for protecting the paws of animals are modeled essentially on shoes or gloves for humans and thus the special anatomical conditions in animals, in particular in dogs only insufficiently taken into account. Above all, the known devices bring with them the disadvantage that the very sensitive sense of touch on the paw undersides in interaction with the anatomical features of toe walkers is considerably hindered.
The invention is therefore based on the object, a device of the type described above in such a way that a secure paw protection for toddlers, especially for dogs is possible without disturbing the natural movement or the sense of touch on the pawl undersides essential.
The invention achieves the stated object in that the pawl portion of the lower part is formed as along its transverse axis to the shaft portion of the lower part and the pawl portion of the upper part as along its longitudinal axis to the shaft portion of the upper part subsequent Halboval. This means that the two longitudinal axes of the half-oval of the upper and lower part as well as the two transverse axes of the semi-oval of the upper and lower part are normal to each other, so that the half-oval of the lower part is more curved than the half oval of the upper part. The semi-oval are preferably formed substantially symmetrically with respect to their longitudinal and transverse axis. According to these measures, in the closed state of the device of the invention, the pawl portion of the lower part with respect to the shaft portion of the lower part at an angle of about 25 ° to 40 °, wherein the pawl portion of the lower part between the transition region to the shaft portion of the lower part and the front boundary by the Halboval is curved concavely inwards and thus adapts the paw shape to support the sense of touch. A particularly favorable adaptation to the paw shape can be achieved in that the transverse axes of the half-ovals of the lower and the upper part are approximately the same length, while the longitudinal axes of the Halbovale of the lower and the upper part in a ratio of 1.1 - 1, 25 stand. This results in an angle between the pawl portion of the lower part and the shank portion of the lower part of 30 ° to 35 °. Particularly simple construction conditions arise when the Halbovale are each formed as a semi-ellipse.
In order to prevent that it comes with applied paw protection to a wrong running motion or even a buckling of the paw in the wrong direction, according to the invention, the two Halbovale be formed symmetrically to the shaft axis and along its longitudinal axis to the shaft portion of the upper part subsequent Halboval the end of its transverse axis facing away from the shank portion has an end portion that tapers into a vertex. Accordingly, according to the invention, the term "half-oval" should also include those forms which have an end section tapering to a peak, especially since physically such end sections are also repeatedly continuously differentiable. Consequently, the pawl receptacle curves slightly upwards in its front end region facing away from the boot, so that during the running movement it is ensured that the lower part always rests against the substrate and no overrunning of the upper part of the device occurs.
In order to ensure the above-described curvature behavior of the pawl receptacle, according to the invention, the shank portion of the upper part can have a stiffening. This stiffening can be done, for example, by an at least partially material addition or by the use of different materials with higher bending stiffness.
In order to avoid wrinkling and at the same time keep the total weight of the device low, it is proposed that the shank portion of the upper part is perforated by an oval, which is closed by a peripheral side resting on the upper cover as stiffening and in the end portions of its longitudinal - And transverse axis is widened by recesses in the shaft portion of the upper part. The recesses in the end region of the longitudinal and transverse axes avoid force peaks in the material at a bend and thus prevent wrinkling in these areas, so that on the one hand no pressure points occur and on the other hand, the longevity of the paw protection of the invention is improved.
In this context, it has proven to be advantageous if the cover has a sealed with a breathable membrane vent. The ventilation opening may consist of a single recess or a plurality of smaller recesses. Ventilation of the paw guards is essential if the material used is not or only slightly breathable. In order to avoid in this case, the penetration of water or other liquids into the device for paw protection, the membrane, for example, liquid may be dense. So that there is no unintentional drape even in the case of a ventilation opening, the ventilation opening in a particularly advantageous embodiment of the device may not comprise a large, but several distributed over the cover smaller openings, which affect the bending behavior of the material used significantly less.
In order to adapt a device according to the invention for the paw protection in a simple manner to the paw size, it is proposed that in the region of the open shaft end on the outside of the shaft, two clamping closures connecting the upper part to the lower part are arranged. These latches can be designed, for example, as hook-and-loop fasteners. When closing the buckles, the lateral transition region between upper and lower part can be turned into a fold, so that the laterally turned to a fold material of the upper and lower part acts as a spring that allows greater freedom of movement while still good fit. The stiffening of the upper part prevents the fact that the laterally turned to a fold material of the upper and lower part also caused a drape in the area of the paw. In order to be able to replace the tension locks separately from the rest of the device according to the invention in a wear, it is proposed that the tension locks each have a completely peelable loop strap and with the upper or. Lower part include taped hook bands.
In order to prevent not only a good fit but also an unintentional wiping of the paw guards, the shank portion of the lower part can be extended beyond the open shank end to a Abziehschutz which tapers in the closed position of the Schafft away cone-shaped. This pull-off protection can consist of a base part, from which protrude two wing-shaped closing parts, which can be closed to form a tapering away from the shaft taper around the paw. Although it does not depend on the actual wing shape, particularly advantageous conditions arise when the closing parts in the closed state upwards, ie on the side facing away from the shaft of Abziehschutzes with the base part in a plane to avoid chafing in this area. The closing parts can be provided in their end regions with a hook and loop fastener in order to connect the two closing parts with each other and in a particularly preferred embodiment with a corresponding connection part of the shank portion of the upper part, wherein the connection part can also be equipped for this purpose with a hook and loop fastener , In order to avoid wrinkling and material fatigue in this area too, the edge areas of the pull-off guard can also be provided, in particular, with circular recesses, in the transition to the shank portion of the lower part. Depending on the selected material for the device according to the invention namely there is a danger that the material tears at mechanically particularly stressed end regions. To prevent this, such end regions can be relieved either by punching, as long as it concerns tapered edge regions, or be protected by a material stiffening, for example by glued on end straps. Such protection is also possible that individual components of the device, such as the wiper are not integrally formed, but consist of several glued together items, whereby tearing of the material used at the splices can be avoided.
In order to improve the effect of the peel-off protection, it may be equipped in sections on the inside with a non-slip coating, which also acts as a scuff protection
In the choice of material for the paw protection according to the invention, it is primarily in a balance between the bending elasticity or flexural rigidity, the elasticity and the resulting protective effect. These parameters are very easily adjustable in the manufacture of the upper and lower part of a polyurethane foam. In addition, polyurethane is resistant to water and acid and also offers a puncture protection to a certain extent, so that the paw protection according to the invention can be made entirely from a polyurethane foam, with the exception of the fastening means in an advantageous manner. Particularly advantageous properties result in this context in a polyurethane foam which has a tensile strength of about 8.1 N / mm 2, measured according to DIN 53 504, with a material thickness of 1-3 mm, in particular 2.5 mm. Such a polyurethane foam can have a Shore hardness of 35 Sh / A, measured according to DIN 53505, for sufficient protection against injury.
In the drawing, the subject invention is shown, for example. Show it
1 is a plan view of a device according to the invention in the open state,
2 shows a section along the line II-II of FIG. 1 on a larger scale,
3 a of FIG. 1 corresponding view of the device in the closed state,
Fig. 4 is a section along the line IV-IV of Fig. 3, also on a larger scale and
Fig. 5 is a schematic view of the blank templates of upper and part to better explain the geometric relationships.
An inventive device for paw protection comprises an upper part 1 and a lower part 2, which are peripherally connected to one another in sections. Both the upper part 1 and the lower part 2 each have a shaft portion 3, 4 and a pawl section 5, 6, wherein the upper part 1 and the lower part 2 are peripherally connected to each other so that a shaft 7 with an open shaft end 8 and a at the shaft end 8 opposite side of the shaft 7 subsequent, completed pawl receptacle 9 results.
According to the invention, the pawl portion 6 of the lower part 2 and the pawl portion 5 of the upper part 1 are each formed as a semi-oval, which connects with its longitudinal or transverse axis to the respective shaft portion 3, 4 of the upper or lower part 1, 2. The pawl portion 6 of the lower part 2 is formed as a semi-oval, which connects along its transverse axis 10 to the shaft portion 4 of the lower part 2, while the pawl portion 5 of the upper part 1 is formed as a semi-oval, along its longitudinal axis 11 to the shaft portion 3 of the upper part. 1 followed. The longitudinal axis 11 of the upper part 1 and the
Transverse axis of the lower part 2 are parallel to each other, as can be seen in particular in FIG. 5 in detail.
In order to prevent that it comes in applied paw protection to a wrong running motion or even to a kinking or rolling over the paw in the wrong direction, has along its longitudinal axis 11 to the shaft portion of the upper part 1 subsequent Halboval on the shaft portion 4 opposite end its transverse axis on an acute to apex tapered end portion 30. Consequently, the pawl receptacle curves slightly upwards in its front end region 30 facing away from the shaft 7, so that during the running movement it is ensured that the lower part 2 always comes to rest on the substrate and no overrunning of the upper part 1 of the device occurs.
The shank portion 3 of the upper part 1 is broken in the illustrated embodiment by an oval 12 that is closed by a circumferentially on the upper part 1 resting cover 13 as a stiffener. In order to avoid wrinkling at a curvature of the oval cutout, which inevitably occurs in the paw protection according to the invention, the end portions of the longitudinal and transverse axis of the oval 12 can be widened by recesses 14 in the shaft portion 3 of the upper part 1. In the embodiment shown in the figures, the cover 13 has a plurality of distributed ventilation openings 15, which is sealed watertight with a breathable membrane 16. The provision of a plurality of ventilation openings 15 ensures that there is no unintentional drape.
In order to be able to adapt the device according to the invention to different paw sizes, two clamping closures 17 connecting the upper part 1 to the lower part 2 are provided in the region of the open shank end 8, which in the illustrated embodiment are designed as hook-and-loop fasteners. When closing the tension locks 17, as shown in FIG. The lateral transition region between the upper part 1 and lower part 2 is taken in the closed state according to FIGS. 3 and 4 to a fold 18. Due to the stiffening of the upper part 1 by the cover 13 results from the embossed material of the upper part 1 and the lower part 2, only two pleats 19 in direct connection to the fasteners 17, so that unfavorable wrinkling in the pawl 9 is avoided. In the area of the pawl receptacle 9, only the pawl section 6 of the lower part 2 between its front boundary by the Flalboval and the transverse axis 10 as a transition region to the shaft portion 4 forms a concave concavity 20. In the shaft portion 4 of the lower part 2 results in a further concave indentation 21. These two Involutions 20, 21 require a particularly good adaptation of the device according to the invention to the anatomy of an animal paw 22, as can be seen in particular Figures 2 and 4 in more detail. In order to prevent tearing depending on the material used on mechanically particularly stressed edge areas, they can be protected with a material stiffening, for example by glued-on end straps 32.
In order to prevent that the paw guards unintentionally dissolves or can be removed by external action, the illustrated embodiment has a Abziehschutz 23, to which the open shaft end 8 of the lower part 2 is extended. This pull-off protection 23 comprises a base part 24, to which two wing-shaped closing parts 25 connect, which can be closed to form a tapering away from the shaft 7 cone around the animal paw 22, as shown in FIG. 3 can be removed. In order to improve the cone formation, the two closing parts 25 can adjoin the base part 24 inclined to the shaft axis 26. The closing parts 25 are provided with a hook-and-loop fastener in order to connect them to one another and to a corresponding connecting part 27 of the upper part 1, which is likewise equipped with a hook-and-loop fastener for this purpose. In order to improve the effect of the peel-off protection 23, it may be equipped in sections on the inside with a non-slip coating 31, which at the same time acts as an abrasion protection. In order to prevent tearing of the peel-off protection 23, as described above, the wing-shaped closure members 25 are not integrally connected to the base member 24, but glued to splices 32 at this.
Moreover, in order to avoid wrinkling and material fatigue in the area of the peel-off protection, in the illustrated embodiment, the edge regions of the peel-off protector 23 or its base part 24 are provided with circular recesses 28 in the transition to the shaft section 4 of the lower part 2.
