The present invention relates to a device for the detachable fastening of a front panel to a drawer, with a hook-shaped holding part which can be locked on a tensioning device, the holding part being movable for tensioning the front panel on a side frame of the drawer by adjusting the tensioning device, and a method for Mounting a front panel on a drawer and a method for removing a front panel on a drawer.
DE 94 01 168 discloses a fastening device for a front panel of a drawer, in which a supporting part is fastened to a double-walled drawer frame and can be brought into engagement with a hook-like holding part, on which a front panel is mounted. A spring can be moved on each support part by means of an eccentric to allow the front panel and drawer frame to be spread apart. To attach the front panel, a pin on a block is inserted into a recess in the holding part. Although this allows the front panel to be fixed to the side frame without play, the fastening device is complicated with a large number of components. In addition, the space required for the fastening device is considerable, which is particularly problematic for narrow side frames on drawers.

This object is achieved with a device having the features of claim 1 and with the method of claims 13 and 14.
In the device according to the invention, a hook-shaped holding part can be locked on a tensioning device which comprises a bendable wire which can be brought into engagement with the hook-shaped holding part and can be clamped for fixing the front panel. The use of a bendable wire, in particular a bent spring steel wire, enables a particularly compact design, the wire being bendable and being able to be used as an energy store by means of which the front panel is braced against the side frames. This results on the one hand in a play-free connection between the front panel and side frames and on the other hand the device can be produced from only a few components.
The bendable wire preferably has two end sections which engage behind the hook-shaped holding part. The two end sections can each be formed on an arm that is bent for locking. Preferably, a run-on slope is provided on the hook-shaped holding part, so that the end sections can slide along the run-up slope for locking the bendable wire, in order then to engage behind a hook part.
In one configuration, the bendable wire has two arms which are connected to one another via a loop. The loop can be used to tension the bendable wire, for example by an eccentric for tensioning the wire engaging in the loop. The clamping device preferably comprises a mounting element on which the eccentric is rotatably mounted.
A guide is preferably provided on the tensioning device, which, when the flexible wire is tensioned, deforms it elastically in order to secure it to the holding part. For this purpose, two guides can be provided which are arranged at an angle to the direction of movement of the bendable wire and which brace the two arms when the wire moves. For a side adjustment, corresponding means can preferably be provided on the hook-shaped holding part, for example a side adjustment screw, by means of which the front panel can be adjusted laterally relative to the side frame. In addition, means for height positioning of the front panel relative to the side frame can also be provided.
In a method for mounting a front panel, the front panel is first pushed onto a tensioning device with two hook-shaped holding parts, the hook-shaped holding parts each snapping onto a bendable wire. The bendable wire is then adjusted by a tensioning device in order to attract the front panel to two side frames of the drawer. This allows the front panel to be fixed to the side frames in just a few steps.
In a method for disassembling a front panel, an eccentric of the tensioning device for pulling off a front panel can be detached from two side frames of the drawer, in order to then pull the front panel in a second step, with two end sections of a bendable wire spread apart, so that a hook-shaped holding part is removed from the both end sections can be deducted. This means that the front panel can be removed in just a few steps.

A drawer 1 comprises a preassembled unit with a base 2, two side frames 3 and a rear wall 4. A tensioning device 7 is provided in each side frame 3 in order to clamp a front panel 5 on an end face of the side frame 3. For this purpose, two hook-shaped holding parts 6 are fixed on the front panel 5.
As shown in FIG. 2, the hook-shaped holding part 6 has a web 60, on which two openings 61 for inserting fastening means are formed in order to fix the hook-shaped holding part 6 on the inside of a front panel 5. The hook-shaped holding part 6 further comprises a web 62 protruding perpendicularly to the plane of the front panel, on which means for lateral adjustment are provided in the form of an adjusting screw 63. A hook 64 adjoins the web 62, on which a bendable wire 8 of the tensioning device 7 can be locked.
The bendable wire 8 consists of a bent spring steel wire, preferably with a circular cross-section, the wire 8 having two arms 82 and 83, which have an inwardly angled end section 80 and 81, respectively. A step-shaped section 84 is provided on the arm 82, while a step-shaped section 85 is formed on the arm 83. The two arms 82 and 83 are connected to one another via a loop 86 which is arranged on the opposite side to the end sections 80 and 81. The loop 86 surrounds an elongated hole 90, which is formed within the loop 86, an eccentric 9 being provided in the loop 86 for bracing the bendable wire 8. The eccentric 9 is rotatably mounted on a mounting element 10, and when the eccentric 9 is rotated, the bendable wire can be moved in a direction perpendicular to the plane of the front panel 5.
A first guide 11 is provided on the mounting element 10 and can come into contact with the step-shaped section 85 of the arm 83.

Furthermore, a second guide 12 is formed on the mounting element 10, which can come into contact with the step-shaped section 84 of the arm 82. The arms 82 and 83 are pressed together via the guides 11 and 12 when the bendable wire is moved in a direction away from the front panel 5 via the eccentric 9.
In FIG. 2 it is also shown that the web 62 of the hook-shaped holding part 6 is surrounded by U-shaped guide webs 16 in order to ensure a linear guidance of the hook-shaped holding part relative to the mounting element 10 when braced.
Optionally, an eccentric or a worm wheel 17 for height adjustment can also be provided on the clamping device 7. The eccentric or the worm wheel 17 is mounted on a wall element 30 in order to adjust the height of the mounting element 10 with the clamping device 7. The means for height adjustment can also be omitted.
FIGS. 3A to 3D show an assembly process of the front panel 5, the tensioning device 7 being arranged within a side frame 3 and the area being left out in the illustrations. In a first step, the front panel 5 with the hook-shaped holding part 6 is moved to the tensioning device in the side frames 3 until the end sections 80 and 81 of the bendable wire 8 bear against a run-on slope 65 of the hook 64. If the hook-shaped holding parts 6 are pushed further into the associated side frame 3, the end sections 80 and 81 of the bendable wire 8 are locked on the hook 64, as shown in FIG. 3B. In this preassembled position, a gap 13 is formed between the two side frames 3 and the inside of the front panel 5. In order to brace the front panel 5 on the side frames 3, the eccentric 9 is now rotated using a tool, so that the bendable wire 8 pulls the hook-shaped holding part 6 to the side frames 3 via the two end sections 80 and 81 until the one shown in FIG. 3C Position is reached. When the bendable wire 8 is tightened, the guide 11 also engages with the step-shaped section 85, and the guide 12 with the step-shaped section 84, so that the arms 82 and 83 are pressed together via the guides 11 and 12. In order to detach the front panel 5 from the side frames 3, the eccentric 9 can be rotated again so that the bendable wire 8 is moved towards the front panel 5, as shown in FIG. 3D. As a result, the guides 11 and 12 disengage from the stepped sections 84 and 85. The front panel 5 can then be pulled, so that the end sections 81 and 82 spread out, since the stepped sections 84 and 85 can be moved slightly outwards. As a result, the hook 64 on the hook-shaped holding part 6 can be moved between the two end sections 80 and 81. As a result, the front panel 5 can be mounted or removed on the side frames 3 in just a few steps.
FIG. 4 shows an exploded perspective view of a modified device for releasably fastening a front panel 5. A mounting element 10 'is designed as a plastic part instead of a bent steel sheet, an opening 15 for mounting an axis 92 of the eccentric 9 being arranged on the mounting element 10'. The eccentric 9 has an off-center disk 91 which engages with the inner walls of the loop 86 of the bendable wire 8 to move the bendable wire 8 to the front panel 5 or away from the front panel 5. A height adjustment device has been omitted from the modified device according to FIG. 4. The guides 11 and 12 are formed integrally with the mounting element 10 'and are oriented inclined to a direction perpendicular to the plane of the front panel 5. Otherwise, the structure and the mode of operation correspond to the previous exemplary embodiment.
Different positions of the lateral adjustment are shown in FIGS. 5A to 5C. In FIG. 5B, the hook 64 of the hook-shaped holding part 6 is in a central position, the bendable wire 8 being locked in place with the arms 82 and 83. The adjusting devices preferably comprise a rotatably mounted eccentric, wherein other adjusting elements, such as adjusting screws, worm wheels, cam guides or other mechanisms, can also be used.
