Confession
Air supply for an air spring of a rail vehicle
Technical area
The invention relates to an air supply for an air spring of a rail vehicle.
State of the art
Passenger rail vehicles are very often equipped with air suspension, as this ensures good suspension comfort and allows easy-to-implement level control. This is particularly necessary in suburban rail vehicles such as subways, in which a constant floor height is required even with changing loading conditions. Air suspensions typically include a compressed air supply with a compressor and compressed air accumulator, associated lines and controls and per chassis usually two compressed air springs (rubber bellows). The air pressure system of the air spring is equipped with means for aeration and venting. In this way, an automatic level control can be created, which allows, for example, that subways always have the lowest possible level difference between the platform and the passenger floor level, regardless of their loading state. The air springs are usually constructed so that they are supported in the installed state at its top by the subframe, more precisely, the main cross member. The contact point air spring main cross member also forms a sealing surface of the air spring, which have an open, kugelkalottenähnliche shape when removed. By this construction, it is possible to guide the compressed air connection of an air spring through a limiting wall of the main cross member (lower chord) and provide at this point a connection means for connecting a compressed air line. Regardless of the embodiment of the undercarriage (steel or light metal construction), this connection device is critical because it is accessible only after the manufacture of the undercarriage with great difficulty. A maintenance or repair would be done only with removal of the entire chassis and possibly other components. From the prior art, no solutions are known which would allow accessibility of the connection point between a compressed air line and an air spring in the installed state of the air spring, since this connection means is arranged inside a main cross member. A simple solution, the supply of compressed air by means of a flexible compressed air line at another location, such as the wheel-side mounting plate is associated with such significant disadvantages that this solution is generally not implemented. In particular, the significantly lower durability of a flexible air duct in contrast to a permanently laid line requires that this solution is avoided as far as possible.
Presentation of the invention
The invention is therefore based on the object to provide an air supply for an air spring of a rail vehicle, which ensures easy maintenance, in particular, a maintenance with built-in chassis should be able to.
The object is achieved by an air supply for an air spring of a rail vehicle with the features of claim 1. Advantageous embodiments are the subject of the subordinate claims.
The basic idea of the invention is an air supply for an air spring of a rail vehicle is described which comprises a main cross member of at least one extruded light metal profile, which is aligned in the installation position of the main cross member in the longitudinal direction of the rail vehicle and arranged on the main cross member air spring, the main cross member at least one closed Profile chamber having a circular cross section which extends over a certain length of the extruded light metal profile, and wherein at least one bore in a wall of the main cross member connects the gas space of the air spring with the profile chamber.
As a result, the advantage can be achieved to realize an air duct to a rail vehicle air spring, which can be constructed very easily and with a minimum of required components. In particular, all maintenance or. Sealing points of the air supply that are virtually inaccessible to conventional solutions when installed. Such an air supply according to the invention is simpler and less expensive to expand and the maintenance costs are substantially reduced compared to conventional air supply.
According to the invention, the air supply per supply air spring comprises a closed profile chamber with a circular
Cross section in the main crossbeam. The main cross member is constructed of at least one extruded light metal profile, wherein in general several light metal profiles are non-detachably connected (welded) together. This construction is in particular common in light metal vehicles. The light metal profiles used in this case typically comprise a plurality of webs and straps which form closed chambers, whereby the strength is increased and the weight is lowered. The closed profile chamber with a circular cross-section is formed here as well as the other (typically triangular) chambers in the manufacturing process of the light metal profile simultaneously with these. The closed profile chamber with a circular cross section thereby extends over the entire length of the light metal profile. The connection of the gas space of the air spring takes place through a hole in a wall (belt) of the main cross member, normal to the longitudinal direction of the light metal profile.
It is particularly advantageous to use a closed profile chamber with a circular cross section for air guidance, as this is easy to connect to the compressed air system of the vehicle and can be easily sealed at the side facing away from the terminal by means of a threaded plug. As a result, all else required for the preparation of the connection welding can be omitted. Furthermore, by the leadership in a separate, compared to a chamber of the main cross member significantly smaller chamber, the spring behavior of the air spring is not affected, since the coupled to the air spring air volume is very low.
Another advantage of a closed profile chamber with a circular cross section for air guidance is that the main cross member is not subject to approval as a pressure vessel, which causes a significant simplification of the required strength and maintenance checks. For this purpose, it is necessary to carry out the closed profile chamber with a circular cross section with a substantially smaller cross section than the other, generally triangular chambers of the main cross member. Typically, the closed profile chamber is to be designed with a circular cross section with a diameter of 20 mm.
Furthermore, by the very simple
Sealing possibilities of the profile chamber with a circular cross section, a complicated sealing of a chamber of the main cross member are bypassed.
A preferred embodiment of the invention provides to produce the profile chamber with a circular cross section following the production of the light metal profile by means of a machining step (drilling). As a result, the production tool for the light metal profile (Preßmatrizze) can be made simpler and it is possible to equip even a portion of the length of the light metal profile with a profile chamber with a circular cross-section.
It is advantageous, the closed profile chamber is provided with a circular cross-section at both ends with an internal thread and to close at one end with a screwed plug and provide at its other end a screwed connection flange to which the further piping of the air supply is to be connected. In this way, all sealing points are arranged outside the main cross member and are therefore easily accessible for maintenance. Instead of a plug, a further connecting flange can also be screwed in at the other end of the profile chamber with a circular cross-section. As a result, the wiring in the base can be simplified, as such a further connection for the pressure supply of the air suspension is available, which can be used for example for a pressure gauge or the connection of the air spring of the opposite air spring.
However, in case of damage to the thread for the screwed connection flange, the repair of this thread is very complicated.
In a further development of the invention, it is therefore advisable to make the air connection to the profile chamber with a circular cross-section with a connector which is inserted into the profile chamber and which is sealed against the inner wall of the profile chamber with a circular cross-section and a bore in its longitudinal direction and in This bore has an opening transverse bore, via which the air supply takes place. The attachment of the fitting to the light metal profile is preferably carried out by means of at least one screw, wherein the screw are oriented parallel to the longitudinal axis of the fitting. In this way, the manufacturing technology critical cutting a large internal thread can be avoided. At most, even smaller, much less critical and easier to repair internal threads are produced. A particular advantage of this embodiment is that even a plug and the associated thread can be omitted since the profile chamber with a circular cross section is depressurized even outside the region of the connecting piece.

EMBODIMENT OF THE INVENTION FIG. 1 shows an example and schematically a
Main cross member in a view in the vehicle longitudinal direction. It is shown a main cross member (1) of a rail vehicle, as he can preferably be used in light metal vehicles. The main cross member 1 is composed of a plurality of extruded light metal profiles 2, which are welded together. Two air springs 3 are arranged on both sides and transmit forces in the vertical direction between the main cross member 1 and the chassis. This chassis is not shown in the schematic diagram Fig.l. In the area of the air springs 3, one of the light metal profiles 2 is in each case provided with a profile chamber 4 with a circular cross section, which extends over the entire longitudinal extension of the respective light metal profile 2.
2 shows an example and schematically a main cross member in an oblique view. It is the main cross member 1 of Fig.l shown, in particular, the rounded running outlets are recognizable to the longitudinal members of the rail vehicle. The profile chambers 4 with circular cross-section are easily accessible on both sides, so that attached to them assemblies are easy to maintain.
3 shows an example and schematically main cross member with threaded connection in a sectional view. It is shown a section through a main cross member 1 in the vehicle longitudinal direction in the region of an air spring 3. The air spring 3 is arranged below the main cross member 1, or the light metal profile 2 and has a gas space 6, which is to be acted upon by the air spring system of the vehicle with changing gas pressure. The light metal profile 2 is shown cut in the region of a profile chamber 4 with a circular cross section, wherein one end of the profile chamber 4 is closed by means of a screwed plug 7 and the other end is equipped with a threaded connection flange 8. This connection flange 8 has a bore in the longitudinal direction, via which compressed air can flow into the profile chamber 4. The profile chamber 4 is connected in the region of the underlying gas chamber 6 of the air spring 3 with a bore 5.
4 shows an example and schematically main cross member with connector in a sectional view. It is, as in Fig.3 a main cross member 1 of a rail vehicle in
Area of an air spring 3 shown, but instead of a screwed connecting flange 8, a connecting piece 9 is inserted into the profile chamber 4. The other components, such as air spring 3 and bore 5 are unchanged from the embodiment shown in Figure 3, but the profile chamber 4 is not closed with a screwed plug 7, since the use of a fitting 9, the profile chamber is depressurized at this point.
5 shows by way of example and schematically a detail of a main cross member with connector. It is the region of the light metal profile 2 shown in Figure 4 in a sectional view, in which a connector 9 is inserted. The connector 9 has a longitudinal bore, or recess and is releasably connected by means of a fastening 10 with the light metal profile 2. The connecting piece 9 is sealed relative to the profile chamber 4 by means of seals 13, which are arranged on both sides of the bore 5, which allows an air flow between the gas chamber 6 and the profile chamber 4. A transverse bore 11 connects the recess in the connecting piece 9 with the profile chamber 4, so that a gas flow between the gas space 6 of the air spring 3 and the outer terminal of the connecting piece 9 is made possible. In this case, only the area of the profile chamber 4 is applied to the transverse bore 11 between the seals 13 with compressed air, which allows the elimination of a screwed plug 7.
6 shows an example and schematically a connector.
It is shown a connector 9, as used in the embodiment shown in FIGS. 4 and 5.
The connecting piece 9 is substantially cylindrical and has a fastening 10 for releasable attachment to a light metal profile 2. In figurative
Embodiment, the attachment 10 is formed as a molding (tab) through which a screw parallel to the longitudinal axis of the connecting piece 9 can be produced. The connector 9 is provided in its cylindrical part with grooves 12, in which seals 13 can be inserted. In the exemplary embodiment shown, four grooves 12 are provided in two groups of two grooves 12, so that each sealing point two seals 13 act in succession.
Between the two groups of grooves 12, a transverse bore 11 is arranged, which connects the recess 9 provided in the interior of the connecting piece with the profile chamber 4.
