The present invention relates to an edge banding device. Downstream of the rollers there is provided a cutting device intended to cut off the edgeband on the appropriate command. In order to obtain a precise cut, the edge band must be tensioned when the cutting device is actuated. Therefore, the cut can be carried out only when the front end of the edge band is at the gripping point, where it is clamped between the pinch roller and the narrow side of the plate and thus tensioned. This object, as well as these and other objects, which emerge even more clearly from the following description, are achieved with a Kantenanleimvorrichtung according to the appended independent claim.
