Track construction machine and method for compacting a ballast bed
Technical Field [01] The invention relates to a track construction machine, which is designed to be movable on a track, for compacting a ballast bed below a track with a machine frame supported on a chassis and a compacting device connected to the machine frame, which comprises at least one lowerable compacting element. In addition, the invention relates to a method for compacting the ballast bed below a track by means of such a track construction machine.
PRIOR ART [02] Various track laying machines are intended to compact the ballast bed below a track. In concrete terms, the ballast is subjected to a vertical static load with vibrating compacting tools operating in a certain frequency range until the desired level of ballast density is reached.
[03] In different track sections different demands are placed on the machine. Particularly stressed track sections are the points. It is particularly important to create a multi-layer compacted ballast bed as a foundation to keep the rails in the exact required level.
Summary of the invention [04] The invention is based on the object of providing an improvement over the prior art for a track construction machine of the type mentioned in the introduction. Another object is to provide a method for compacting a ballast bed by means of an improved track construction machine.
[05] According to the invention this object is achieved by a track construction machine according to claim 1 and a method according to claim 8. Dependent claims relate to advantageous embodiments of the invention.
[06] The invention provides that the compression element is designed as a compression plate, which is greater in a working position in a longitudinal direction of the track than a distance between two sleepers of the track, wherein the compression plate is rotatably arranged to the compression plate for a lowering or Lift up between two sleepers to a feed-through position.
[07] The home position of the raised compaction plate is defined as a feedthrough position. In this position, the compression plate is lowered between the thresholds. [09] The invention provides that the compression plate lowered below the sleepers is turned into the working position in order to be able to compact a larger area of the ballast bed.
[10] It is advantageous if the compression device is designed to be displaceable in the threshold longitudinal direction. So any desired compression position can be taken.
[11] A simple embodiment provides that the compacting device for the rotational movement of the compacting plate connected to the machine frame is provided with a drive which acts on a lever mounted on the compacting device and thus effects the rotational movement.
[12] Another advantageous detail of the device is that the drive for the rotary movement is designed hydraulically.
It is also possible that the associated with the machine frame compacting device for the rotational movement of the compression plate is provided with an electric actuator and thus causes the rotational movement.
Another advantage is given when the compacting device is provided with vibration generators to achieve an even more effective compaction of the ballast bed.
In the method according to the invention, it is crucial that the compression plate lowered between the sleepers is rotated into a working position in a cavity between sleepers and ballast bedding and displaced in the threshold longitudinal direction.
The productivity of the process is increased by the fact that the compacting plate lowered between the sleepers is used by its rotary motion for leveling the ballast bedding. Thus, the distribution of the ballast occurs evenly before the actual compaction.

DESCRIPTION OF EMBODIMENTS [20] The track construction machine 1 shown in FIG. 1 is a machine for compacting the ballast bed 2 with a machine frame 4 supported on a chassis 3 with a plurality of adjustable devices, such as a compacting device 5 and a gripping device 6 for lifting and / or straightening a Track 7. The compacting device 5 consists essentially of a main frame 8, at least one
Support frame 9, a lowering device 10 and for rotating a compression plate 12 from a rotating device 11, which comprises a hydraulic or an electric drive 13. The compacting device 5 shown in FIG. 2 shows the main frame 8, in which two guide devices 20 for slidably receiving four support frames 9 are arranged in the threshold longitudinal direction 19. In each case two compression plates 12 are shown in the feed-through position 21 and in the working position 16. The working position 16 is achieved by the lowering device 10 and the rotating device 11. The working position 16 is reached when the longer side of the rectangularly executed compression plate 12 is aligned parallel to the track longitudinal direction 22. By vibrator 23 an even better compaction of the ballast bed 2 is achieved.
[23] In a non-illustrated embodiment, the feedthrough position 21 is achieved in that the compression plate 12 is rotatably mounted on a horizontal axis in the threshold longitudinal direction 19 and is angled by an adjusting device to lower them between the thresholds 24 can.
The compacting below the thresholds 24 is usually used during cleaning or renewal of the ballast bed 2 with a track construction machine 1 designed as a cleaning machine.
