This invention relates to a device for straightening plate edges. In particular, this invention falls into the category of devices for straightening the edges of boards of wood material whose side surfaces are coated with a surface coating. With the device according to the invention, it is possible to better perform the edges and to more precisely connect the edge bands at the edges of the plate. In the processing of surface coated panels, the edges of a semi-finished panel are nowadays milled to define the dimensions and geometry desired for the panel. The semi-finished plate has an internal body, on the two larger side surfaces with a Surface coating is coated, which thus leaves the edges of the internal body. The internal body is generally made of wood material, e.g. Plywood or MDF (medium density fiberboard). The surface coating consists, for example, of melamine paper. After milling the edges of the plate, it is edged by gluing an edge band, generally made of the same material as the surface coating, to the edge of the plate. Milling the edges of the semi-finish panel often results in errors in the connection of the edge band to the side edges of the surface coatings, which are generally due to micro-cracks and inaccuracies in the shaping of the edge of the surface coating. These defects can cause optical defects and locations where moisture easily penetrates the plate. Nowadays, tensioning is widespread in order to reduce the amount of sizing material for fixing the edge band at the edges. This trend is contrary to the need to compensate for the effect of said defects by means of the sealing by the glue material. This invention is based on the problem of allowing a low use of glue and still guarantee an effective and secure sealing of the edge bands on the surface coatings of the plate. The main object of this invention is to provide a device for straightening plate edges, which offers a solution to this problem and overcomes the stated disadvantages of the conventional devices described above. Within the scope of this objective, an object of this invention is to provide a device for straightening plate edges which allows for the use of less glue to confine a plate while still guaranteeing a reliable seal. A further purpose of this invention is to provide a device for straightening plate edges which enables the prevention of the formation of defects at the edges of the surface coatings of a plate to be trimmed. This object, as well as these and other purposes, which will become more apparent from the following description, are achieved by a device for straightening plate edges according to the appended claim 1. Detailed features of a device for straightening plate edges according to the invention are set forth in the corresponding dependent claims. Further features and advantages of the invention will be more clearly illustrated in the following description of a preferred embodiment by no means exclusive of a device according to the invention for straightening plate edges with reference to the accompanying drawings. FIG. 1 is a perspective view of a plate edge straightening device with some parts removed to better show others; - Figure 2 shows the device of Figure 1 in plan view. With particular reference to the aforesaid figures, reference numeral 10 generally designates a device for straightening the edge 16 of a panel 12 comprising a body of wood material, the two larger side surfaces 12, 12b of which are each provided with a respective one Surface coating 13a, 13b, which preferably consists of melamine paper coated. The device 10 comprises a holder 14, which defines a bearing surface for the plate 12, and a milling unit 15. Preferably, at least one of the milling tools 17, 18 is designed to straighten the edge 16 of a plate 12. In a preferred, but not exclusive embodiment, the finishing tool 19 is designed to perform grinding and preferably has a grinding surface suitable for machining the edges 20a, 20b of the surface coatings 13a, 13b, having a grain size of 180 μm up to 15 pm, for milling machines, which are preferably diamond cutters. Advantageously, the milling tools 17 and 18 and the finishing tool 19 have a substantially cylindrical structure, the side wall being suitable for machining the plate 12, and advantageously having axes aligned parallel to one another.
