The associated additional burden of the round bale sheathing shell, which is already exposed due to the compaction pressure of the round bale considerable tensile stresses, brings with it the risk of overloading the shell and thus an insufficient cohesion of the round bale. The invention is therefore based on the object, a round baler in such a way that the finished round bales can be discharged without jeopardizing its outer shell of the press housing. Starting from a round baler of the type described, the invention solves the task by the fact that the ejector has a press rollers upstream, freely rotatable support roller from a rest position with the discharge flap closed in a discharge opening for the sheathed straw when opening the discharge flap limiting working position is relocatable.
