According to the invention this is achieved in that one or more passage openings are provided in the edge region of the bottom plate, through which flue gas from the boiler room in the cooking chamber can be conducted, and that in the upper part of the cooking chamber a smoke extraction opening is provided, through which the flue gas from the cooking chamber at least partially leaking.
Heat generated by the combustion in the boiler room heats the base plate with the food to be cooked thereon and thus forms bottom heat for the cooking process. At the same time resulting during combustion in the boiler room flue gas is passed through the cooking chamber and thus on the one hand achieved the desired taste when cooking and on the other hand allows sufficient heat. In this way, the device according to the invention can be constructed of low weight parts, so that it can be transported and used outdoors, e.g. in the garden, easily placed and removed.
In addition to passing the flue gas through the cooking chamber further measures are advantageous in order to give rise to sufficient heat in the cooking chamber. FIGS. 1 to 8 show an embodiment of the cooking device according to the invention which has, as outer casing, a hollow cylinder 1 with a horizontally oriented center axis, e.g. of sheet steel is and e.g. made of a used industrial metal drum (length about 0.8 m, diameter about 0.5 m) or can be welded from a steel sheet. In the semi-cylindrical heating chamber 71 below the bottom plate 20 thus fuel 15 (Figure 3), preferably wood can be filled, which heats the igniter above the heating chamber located bottom plate 20, which radiates the heat upwards into the cooking chamber 70 and through their Heat storage capacity one for cooking, eg Baking, even heat generated. According to the invention, passage openings 80, 81 are provided in the edge region of the base plate, through which flue gas is passed from the heating chamber 71 into the cooking chamber 70. In the upper region of the cooking chamber 70, a smoke extraction opening 90 is provided, through which the flue gas from the cooking chamber 70 partially exits. The smoke vent opening 90 is connected to a chimney cowl 19, which is e.g. may be formed by a stovepipe (diameter, for example 0.12 m), via which a chimney effect is exerted on the flue gas.
The passage openings 80, 81 are formed in the present embodiment by a respective gap between the longitudinal edge region of the bottom plate 20 and the associated inner side wall portion of the cooking chamber 70 and the heating chamber 71, so that the flue gas can enter through the lateral column in the cooking chamber 70 (Fig. l, Fig.4).
In order to allow a sufficient and uniform top heat within the cooking chamber 70, the cooking chamber 70 has a heat insulating layer 91, which e.g. made of rock wool and a cover layer 3 of sheet metal, which is mounted in the upper cross-sectional area on the inside of the hollow cylinder 1. Preferably, the thermal insulation layer 91 extends over the entire semicircular wall portion of the cooking chamber 70, wherein the layer thickness of the heat insulating layer 91 - seen in cross-section - from their maximum value at the highest point of the cooking chamber 70 in the middle to those in the plane of the grate 7, each other towards opposite end points decreases continuously (Fig.1, Fig.6). The cooking chamber 70 has at one end face an insertion opening 60 for introducing and removing food to be cooked above the base plate 20 and for refueling below the base plate 20. In this case, the smoke outlet opening 90 is arranged near the insertion opening 60, so that the flue gas can emerge substantially only after flowing through the hollow cylinder 1 (FIG. 7).
The hollow cylinder 1 is provided at the insertion opening 60 with a removable cover 67 (Fig.6, 7), in the upper region of a trapezoidal recess 66 through which the food can be introduced into the cooking device and removed from this is formed, whereas in the lower part of a triangular opening 63 is excluded, through which fuel can be supplied. The opposite end face of the hollow cylinder 1 is closed by a further cover 68. The geometric shape of the recesses 66, 63 is not subject to any restriction and can be designed in any desired manner.

9 to 16 show a further embodiment of the cooking device according to the invention, which is mounted on a rack 170 and connected to a smoking insert, which is incorporated in the cooking device according to the invention. The flue gas generating unit 101 has a fuel intake 102 formed at the lower end of the vertical pipe section 25, which is provided with adjustable air supply openings formed by louvers 113, 114 formed in the fuel intake 102 and in the vertical pipe section 25.
The fuel intake 102 is rotatably arranged relative to the vertical pipe section 25 between an aligned and a non-moistening positioning of the air slots 113, 114 by means of handles 130, so that the air supply can be controlled sntsprechend.
The flue gas outlet openings 27 are arranged on the lower side and along the length of the horizontal pipe section 26 spaced from each other.
The chimney effect created by the vertical pipe section 25 generates sufficient negative pressure to cause combustion of the fuel introduced into the fuel intake 102 via the air sucked in through the air slots 113, 114 to produce hot flue gas which flows over the flue gas outlets formed in the horizontal pipe section 26 27 is introduced into the boiler room 71.
