ADJUSTING DEVICE FOR A MOTOR VEHICLE HEADLAMP
The invention relates to a Verstelleiniichtung for a motor vehicle headlight / which has at least one accommodated in a headlight housing, pivotable in at least one direction lighting unit, wherein the VersteUeinrichtung has a threaded despindel which is rotatable via a bevel gear with the help of an out of the housing operating wheel and the threaded spindle is in engagement with a spindle nut, the movement of which is transmitted to an adjusting head acting on the at least one pivotable lighting unit.
An adjusting device of this type has become known from DE 10 2004 024 315 A1. The items of this known adjustment must be assembled both from the inside and from the outside of the headlight housing, which also can not be ruled out that moisture at least penetrates into the bevel gear. The construction of this known adjustment according to their installation and any removal are time consuming.
In a similar, from EP 2 327 583 Bl become known adjusting the bevel gear is formed as a unit, but it is also in this case the installation in a headlight in several steps. Sealed in this case, the operating wheel against the housing, wherein a shaft connection from the operating wheel to the transmission is so elongated that a special hopper on the gear unit for assembly is required. Also in this case, the operating wheel must first be inserted from the outside of the headlight housing and then secured from the inside by a fork. All this leads to a relatively lengthy installation process.
A further problem is that according to the prior art slideways are formed for adjusting in the Schweinwerfergehäuse, but here the demolding technique of very complicated injection molded parts sets limits with respect to the free selectability of the slideway direction. In fact, slideways can be produced relatively easily only in the direction of the optical axis (direction of travel of the motor vehicle). An object of the invention is to provide an adjusting device, which in. Contrary to the prior art is compact, can be installed quickly and without special tools and is suitable for many Verstellvarianten without even more complicated molds are needed.
This object is achieved with an adjusting device of the type mentioned, in which the adjusting device according to the invention is designed as separable from the headlight housing module which is insertable with an inner portion in the headlight housing and connectable thereto via a bayonet fitting, wherein between one to an outer Section of the adjusting module associated annular flange and the headlight housing, a sealing ring is provided.
Thanks to the invention, a universally applicable and easily installed adjusting device, which simplifies the internal structure of the headlamp and its housing, and in particular allows simpler injection molds.
A particularly advantageous further development is characterized in that the module has a first tubular housing portion, in which a shaft connected to the actuating wheel and a first bevel gear is housed, and has a second tubular housing portion, the angle under a substantially the bevel gear suitable angle the first housing section extends, with built-in module, the wall of the headlight housing passes through and receives a second bevel gear, at least part of the threaded spindle and the spindle nut.
If the axes of rotation of the two bevel gears at a right angle to each other results in a technically simple and cost-effective implementation.
In an expedient variant of the adjusting device can be provided that it has a pivotable about a pivot axis rocker arm, which is connected via a hinge connection with the spindle nut in drive connection, and the adjusting sits on the rocker arm, thanks to such a lever construction can be an individual adaptation of the adjustment reach certain headlights easily. It is advantageous if the rocker arm is supported by means of stub axles in two opposite slots of an inner housing portion. In order to arrive at a compact and lightweight design, it is recommended that the rocker arm has two webs substantially parallel to each other and between the webs of the adjusting head and a driving head are arranged, wherein the driving head is formed to form the hinge connection of a driving fork. It is useful if the driving fork is part of a slider connected to the spindle nut.
In another, particularly cost-effective design it is provided that the adjusting head is connected to the spindle nut to linear movement, with a practice-proven solution is characterized in that the adjusting head is seated on a slider which is displaceable by means of the spindle nut.
The invention further relates to a motor vehicle headlight, which is equipped in an advantageous manner with at least one adjusting device according to the invention.
The invention together with further advantages is explained in more detail below by way of example embodiments, which are illustrated in the drawing. In this show

Fig. 7 shows a third embodiment of an adjusting device according to the invention in perspective view and
8 is a perspective view of a motor vehicle headlight with a Verstelleinrichtimg invention according to the third embodiment with mostly cutaway headlight housing,
Referring initially to FIG. 1, a motor vehicle headlight 1 is shown, which has in a housing 2 (only partially visible) a lighting unit 3 which, for example, has a lens 4 on its front side. In the present case, the lighting unit 3 is adjustable by two axes av and ah. In principle, an outer support frame 5, which is pivotable about a vertical axis av in bearings 8, and an inner support frame 7, which is pivotable about a horizontal axis ah in bearings 6, provided in the sense of a gimbal suspension of the light unit 3. For adjusting about the vertical axis av corresponding to a right / left Verschwen-ken an adjusting device 9 according to the invention is provided, which is designed as a compact module M and is shown in Figs. 1 to 3 in a first embodiment.
As is apparent from FIGS. 2 and 3, the adjusting device 9 has a threaded spindle 10 which is rotatable via a bevel gear 11, 12 with the aid of an actuating wheel 13. In the present case, the operating wheel 13 is connected via a short shaft 14 with a first bevel gear 11 formed as a pinion, wherein it may have, for example, a hexagon socket 15 for rotation with the aid of a tool. The bevel gear 11 is in engagement with a second, designed as a crown gear bevel gear 12 which is connected to rotate with the threaded spindle 10. The axes of the threaded spindle 10 and the shaft 14 are in the present case at a right angle to each other and intersect, but both are not necessary in connection with the invention.
The adjusting device 9 designed as module M has a housing 16, which consists essentially of a first housing section 17 and a second housing section 18. Both housing sections 17, 18 are substantially tubular, wherein in the first Gehäuseabschnittl7 with the operating wheel 13 and the first bevel gear or PI2644 PI2644 fr «• fr fr fr *·· fr fr • fr fr fr * * fr fr • • frfr • • fr * * • • • ♦ fr fr • fr • fr fr fr ♦ • · • · · · «··· -5- ·· • ·«
Pinion 11 connected shaft 14 is housed. The second tubular housing section 18, which extends at an angle which is substantially equal to the bevel gear, in the present case 90 °, to the first housing section 17, receives the second bevel gear 12 and at least one partial length of the threaded spindle 10.
On the threaded spindle 10 is located in engagement with a spindle nut 19, the linear movement is transmitted to an acting on the adjustable light unit 3 of the headlamp 1 adjusting 20 - in the present case via a still to be explained lever assembly. In this embodiment, the adjusting head 20 is formed like a ball.
The adjusting device 9 is designed as an adjustment module M which can be separated from the headlight housing 2 and which can be inserted with an inner section I into an opening 21 (FIG. 1) of the headlight housing 2 and can be connected thereto via a bayonet lock 22, 23. For the realization of the bayonet closure, three short webs 22 are formed, for example, on the second tubular housing portion 18, which can cooperate with formed in the region of the housing opening 21 guide slots 23 of the housing 2. Of these guide slots only a short section in Fig. 1 can be seen. Of course, other embodiments of the bayonet lock with more or fewer webs or pins are available to those skilled in the art.
Between an associated with the outer housing section A annular flange 24 and an opening 21 in the headlight housing 2 surrounding annular counter-surface, which is indicated in Fig. 1 by reference numeral 25, a sealing ring 26, for. B provided an O-ring.
To install the adjusting device 9, the module M is inserted with the second tubular housing portion 18 in the opening 21 of the headlight housing 2 and then rotated by 60 °, for example, whereby the module enters the position shown in FIG. 1 with respect to the housing 2. When closing the bayonet fitting 22-23 and the sealing ring 26 between the annular flange 24 and the counter surface 25 is compressed to give a reliable seal, which keeps the penetration of moisture into the interior of the headlight housing 2 hinan. 4 P12644 4 P12644

In the case of the embodiment according to FIGS. 1 to 4, the linear movement of the spindle nut 19 is initially transmitted directly to a slider 27, which is integrally formed in this example with the spindle nut 19, and which has a driving fork 28. In this driver fork 28 engages a driver head 29 of a rocker arm 30, which has two parallel webs 30a, 30b, between which sit on the one hand said driver head 29 and on the other hand, the likewise already mentioned adjusting head 20. The rocker arm 30 is pivotable about a pivot axis s (see FIG. 3) and for this purpose has two stub shafts 31, which can be clipped into slots 32 of the second housing section 18. In the drawings, only the " upper " Stub 31 or slot 32 can be seen,
It can be seen that upon rotation of the actuating wheel 13 via the bevel gears 11 and 12, the threaded spindle 10 is rotated and in the sequence, the spindle nut 19 is moved - and with it the slider 27 with the fork 28. About the driver head 29 leads to this a pivoting of the rocker arm 30 about the pivot axis s, wherein also the adjusting head 20 participates a pivoting movement corresponding to its fictitious lever arm. The fork 28 forms with the driving head 29 has a hinge connection 28-29, which can also be designed differently. For example, fork and head can be arranged reversed.
In order to pivot or adjust the light unit 3, the adjusting head 20 engages in a slide 33, which is connected to the outer support frame 5. The pivoting of the adjusting head 20 about the pivot axis s therefore leads to a pivoting of the outer frame 5 about the axis av when the head 20 slides in the path 33.
Thanks to the slider 27 now contained in the adjustment unnecessary in the production critical training of slideways for the adjustment of the light unit in the headlight housing.
The embodiment of an adjusting device 9 'of the invention shown in FIGS. 5 and 6 differs from the first embodiment only in that the pivot axis s of the rocker arm 30 in the first embodiment (FIGS. 1 to 3) runs parallel to the axis of rotation of the actuating wheel 13 whereas, in the second embodiment, it is normal to move it through the axis of rotation of the threaded spindle 10 and the axis of rotation of the actuator. · · · · · · · · · · · · · · · · · · · · · · · · · · · · · · · ·. Taking into account the fact that, for reasons of maintenance engineering, an arrangement of setting (actuating) wheels on the upper side of a headlight housing is desired, it can be seen that the two embodiments are suitable for adjusting a lighting unit about different axes. For example, the adjusting device 9 can serve according to FIGS. 1 to 4 in a headlight for adjusting about a vertical axis, wherein in this headlight further a Verstelleimichtung according to FIGS. 5 and 6 is provided for adjustment about a horizontal axis and in a corresponding , not shown here, for example on the inner support frame 7 of the headlamp 1 attacks.
Reference is now made to Figs. 7 and 8, in which a third embodiment of an adjusting 9 "is shown according to the invention. The structure of this adjustment corresponds - except for the type of power transmission from the spindle nut to a 20 'designated here adjusting - that of the two embodiments described above and for the same parts, as they are apparent from Fig. 7, therefore, the same reference numerals used.
As well as the first and second embodiment has those of FIG. 7, a slider 27 ', which is connected to the not visible here spindle nut on movement or formed integrally with it. The slider 27 'is formed substantially cylindrical and has a guide groove 34 as rotation, which can cooperate with a corresponding, not apparent here projection in the interior of the housing portion 18.
The adjusting head 20 'is cylindrical and is integrally connected via a web 35 with the slider 27'. In this case, the said web 35 is perpendicular to the imaginary axis of the threaded spindle or of this receiving housing portion 18. A rotation of the actuating wheel 13 also leads here to a linear, reciprocating movement of the slider 27 'and thus of the adjusting 20'.
Fig. 8 illustrates an exemplary installation of the adjusting device 9 " in a headlight 1, which corresponds to that of FIG. 1 in principle. The installation in the housing 2 of the headlamp 1 is also done here by means of the bayonet connection of the module M, of which a web 22 is visible, only the axis of the housing portion 18 is not parallel to the optical axis of the headlamp 1, as in the embodiment of FIG. 1, but twisted by 90 °.
The adjustment head 20 'engages here in a driver fork 36 of the outer support frame 5 and pivots this, if an adjustment of the light unit 3 by rotation of the actuating wheel 13 should be made. Further, in Fig. 8 apparent details are not relevant to the invention and, for example, relate to a dial 37 for the presetting of a headlight range adjustment, which is performed by a servomotor 38. For such an adjustment but could also be used adjusting device according to the invention or be installed accordingly.
The invention is illustrated in the figures on the hand of a single light unit 3, which is pivotally mounted in a special manner as described above about two axes in the housing of the headlamp. In principle conceivable and encompassed by the scope of the claims, however, is also a not dargesteUte embodiment in which the one light unit, but preferably two or more lighting units on a common light units carrier are fixed disorderly and this Lichtinhei-ten-carrier (analogous to the above described storage of the individual light unit) is mounted pivotably about two axes, so that the adjustment pivots all arranged on the light unit carrier light units. The pivoting head described thus attacks on the interposed light units carrier on the one light unit, preferably the plurality of light units.
