Lighting device for hn motor vehicle
The invention relates to a lighting device for a motor vehicle, comprising two or more light modules, which light modules are provided for generating a common light distribution.
Furthermore, the invention relates to a vehicle headlight for a motor vehicle with at least one such lighting device.
In order to be able to produce an optimal and in particular law-compliant light image, it is necessary that the individual light modules can be adjusted to each other. Expensive solutions are known from the prior art, which show adjustment systems with complex bearings, complex slide guides with ball joint connections for adjusting screws, etc.
It is an object of the invention to provide a lighting device which allows easy adjustment of the light modules to each other.
This object is achieved with an illumination device mentioned in the introduction, that according to the invention a common support body is provided on which the at least two light modules are mounted, wherein at least one of the light modules is mounted pivotably about at least one axis with respect to the support body on the support body, and wherein the at least one, pivotable light module on the support body by means of a hinge articulated around the at least one axis ver pivotally mounted, wherein further at least one biasing device is provided, by means of which at least one adjustable light module is held under pretension on the support body about the hinge connection pivotable , And wherein further at least one adjustment device is provided, which is preferably mounted on the support body, which engages at least one adjusting device on the at least one adjustable light module and wherein at least by an adjustment of the at at least one adjusting device, the at least one adjustable light module is displaced in the point of at least one setting device substantially in or against the direction of a biasing force, so that the light module to the running through the joint connection, normal to -2- P12471 the line connecting the joint link and the adjuster standing connection line pivoted. The light module is pivotably mounted via the articulated connection, with the pretensioning device the light module is fixed on the one hand, while on the other hand the light module remains movable to a certain extent. By means of the at least one setting device, the light module can be moved virtually linearly in the point of application of the setting device, either by the setting device against the restoring force of the pretensioning device, or if the setting device "releases" the light module, the light module is moved by this released path from the restoring force of the pretensioning device ,
Thus, a much simpler solution than the known systems for adjusting light modules described at the beginning of the prior art is presented with the invention.
In order to ensure optimal adjustability of the at least one adjustable light module, it is preferably provided that the at least one light module is mounted pivotably about two axes.
Regardless of whether one or preferably two axes are provided, these run in any case by the joint connection.
It is advantageous if the two axes are normal to each other.
In order to allow independent adjustability, a second adjusting device is provided, by means of which the light module can be pivoted about the second axis.
It is legally stipulated that light images can be adjusted vertically and / or horizontally. Accordingly, it is provided that an axis in the installation position of the lighting device horizontally extends so that the light image of the corresponding light module can be adjusted in the vertical direction, and / or that an axis in installation position of the lighting device is vertical so that the light image can be adjusted in the horizontal direction. -3- P12471
Advantageously, the joint joint is designed as a ball joint, so that a free pivoting of the light module is possible at least about the two pivot axes.
In a specific embodiment of the lighting device, the at least one adjusting device is designed as a screw, which is rotatably mounted in the support body and engages with a stopper area on a stop surface of the associated light module
It is further provided that an adjusting device for pivoting the light module is arranged about a pivot axis in a defined normal distance to this pivot axis and preferably lies substantially on an axis normal to the pivot axis and through the hinge connection.
In this case, it is preferably ensured that the respective adjusting device is arranged as far away from the joint connection as possible, since then relatively large linear movement of the light module is necessary in order to realize a small pivoting movement. In this way, the pivoting movement can be set very fine and accurate.
Specifically, it has proved to be expedient if the two adjusting devices and the articulated connection essentially form the corners of a quadrangle and preferably in the fourth corner, the biasing device is arranged.
The biasing device is thus essentially on a diagonal of the rectangle.
Further, in a specific embodiment of the invention, the biasing device consists of a screw which is rotatably mounted on the light module, wherein the screw through a bore in the support frame, preferably by a bush, which is arranged in the bore in the support frame, performed is, and wherein the biasing device further comprises a spring which is clamped between the support frame and a screw head of the screw and is tensioned when tightening the screw.
Typically, at least two, preferably several, light modules, e.g. three, four, five or more light modules provided on a support body. In order to be able to ensure an optimum adjustment of the individual light modules to each other, it is provided that for n light modules, n is an integer and η > 1 (ie n = 2, 3,4,5, ....), at least (n -1) light modules can be moved around at least one, preferably both axes. It is particularly advantageous if in fact all n light modules can be moved around the at least one, preferably around both axes.
In the following the invention is discussed in more detail with reference to the drawing. In this shows
1 shows a lighting device according to the invention in a perspective view from the front,
2 shows the lighting device from FIG. 1 in a perspective view from the rear,
3 shows the lighting device of Figure 1 and 2 in an exploded view,
4 shows a section through the lighting device along the line A-A of Figure 2, and
5 shows a section through the lighting device along the line B-B of Figure 2.
Figure 1 shows an illumination device 1 with four light modules 2, which are mounted on a common support body 3 and support frame. In the embodiment shown, the individual portions of the support body 3 are offset in the horizontal direction stepwise to each other backwards, with a corresponding displacement of the light modules 2. The support body may also have a different shape, for example, this may also be designed to be flat.
Each of the light modules 2 is mounted pivotably about a horizontal axis H on the support body 3, so that the light image of the light module 2 can be adjusted in the vertical direction. Furthermore, each light module 2 is mounted about a vertical axis V on the support body 3, so that the light image can also be adjusted in the horizontal direction. Together, all light modules 2 together generate a common light image.
For example, a left-hand vehicle headlight has a lighting device 1. The right-hand headlamp has a lighting device comparable to the basic structure. Together, the two headlights produce a desired light image, for example, a high beam or low beam, wherein preferably the Lichtverteüung can be switched in segments corresponding to the individual light modules.
In particular with dipped headlights, it is also conceivable that left and right headlights form a complete low-beam light distribution for themselves. In partial light, e.g. be provided that the left headlight generates the left part of the light image and the right headlight the right part of the light image, together, the two light images give a Vollfemlicht.
In principle, the invention is not limited to any particular light distribution, but is particularly suitable for the production of - as already mentioned above - segmented light distributions due to the special construction with individual light modules, which can be operated independently. In such light distributions, the total light distribution from individual light segments, which is generated by the individual light modules, composed. By deliberately switching certain segments on or off, desired areas on the roadway can be selectively illuminated or remain unlit.
Particularly suitable is an arrangement shown for the generation of a segmented high beam. In any case, with a lighting device according to the invention or with one (or two) corresponding headlights, it is possible to generate light distributions which fulfill the legal standards, such as SAE, CCC or ECE.
The two pivot axes Η, V are shown in Figure 2 for the individual light modules.
For pivoting a light module 2 is pivotally mounted with a hinge connection 4 on the support body 3, the two axes Η, V pass through this joint 4 and are normal to each other. -6- P12471
Furthermore, FIG. 2 shows a pretensioning device 5, by means of which a light module 2 is held in a biased manner on the carrier body 3 around the articulated connection 4
For pivoting itself, two adjusting devices 6, 7 are mounted on the support body 3, which engage the light module 2, specifically on the rear side of the light module facing the support body 3. With the upper adjusting device 6 takes place a pivoting of the light module 2 about the vertical axis V, with the lower adjustment direction 7 takes place a pivoting of the light module 2 about the horizontal axis H.
With reference to the figures 3 to 5, in which the relationships are even better recognizable, the operation will be discussed in more detail below.
It should be understood that the actual configuration of the individual light modules 2 is of subordinate importance for the invention. In the embodiment shown, a light module 2 consists of a lens 20 (secondary optics), via which light from a light source, not shown, is imaged in a region in front of the lighting device 1. For this purpose, the light of the light source is coupled into a primary optics 23, light then emerges from the primary optics 23 and is imaged via the lens 20.
At the rear, the light module 2 has a heat sink 24, on which the carrier board for the light source is seated, the primary optics 23 are connected to the heat sink 24 (or to the carrier board) via a holder 23a.
The lens 20 is attached by means of a diaphragm 21 to a lens holder 22, this lens holder 22 is in turn, for example, as shown with corresponding screws 25, attached to the heat sink. The diaphragm 21 serves primarily to fasten the lens 20 to the lens holder 22, but at the same time, by its shaping, also prevents the emission of the light in undesired directions.
The joint 4 consists of a ball, in particular a half or partial ball 4a, which is attached to the heat sink 24, and a corresponding recess or ball socket 4b on the support frame 3 (see in particular Figure 4), in which the ball 4a rotatable is stored. -7- PI2471
With the biasing device 5 support frame 3 and light module 2 and the heat sink 24 are held together, i. pressed the ball 4a in the pan 4b.
In the illustrated embodiment of the invention, the pre-tensioning device 5, see in particular Figures 3 and 4, consists of a screw 50 which is attached to the light module 2, i. For this purpose, for example, in the heat sink 24, a nut 2b is fixedly mounted with an internal thread, in which the screw 50, which in turn has a corresponding mating thread, is rotatably mounted The thread could also be directly in the heat sink 24th be appropriate, in this case can be dispensed with the mother 2b.
The screw 50 is guided by a bushing 51, which in turn is arranged in a bore 3a in the support frame 3.
The bush 51 stands with its one end on the heat sink 24, with its other end to the screw head 50a (or the shim 53). Instead of using a bushing 51, it is also possible to use a recessed screw which fulfills the same function (pretensioning of the spring, abutment against the heat sink 24).
Around the bushing 51 there is a spring 52, here in the form of a helical spring which is clamped between the screw head 50a and the supporting frame 3. Since the screw head 50a usually has a small diameter than the spring 52, it is between the screw head 50a and the spring 52 a washer 53 is provided. The screw could of course also have a correspondingly enlarged screw head, or it is provided a collar on the screw, which is formed integrally with this, for example, on which the spring is clamped.
When tightening the screw 50, the spring 52, which is a compression spring in this embodiment, stretched between the screw head 50a and support frame 3 and heat sink 24 and support frame 3 are held together in this way, but the heat sink 24 with respect can be pivoted on the support frame 3 by the action of a corresponding force by the bias of the spring 52, the spring force can act in both directions. -8- P12471
The light module 2 is pivotably mounted via the joints ksverbindung 4a, 4b, with the VoTSpamvomchtung 5, the light module 2 is on the one hand fixed, on the other hand, the light module 2 remains movable to a small extent. By means of the two adjusting devices 6, 7, the light module 2 can be displaced quasi linearly at the point of action of the adjusting devices 6, 7 on the heat sink (in fact it is a pivotal movement around the articulated connection 4), either by the adjusting device 6, 7 against the restoring force of the pretensioning device 5 (exerted by the spring 52), or when the adjuster "releases" the light module, the light module is moved by this released path from the restoring force of the presplacement device.
For example, referring to Figure 5, the adjuster 6 is moved to the left, i. that the adjustment presses against the heat sink 24, then the heat sink 24 and accordingly the light module 2 is pivoted about the vertical axis V. In addition, the screw 50 is also moved with respect to the fixed support body 3 to the left, ie in the direction of movement of the heat sink 24. The bushing 51 moves accordingly in the bore 3a in the support body 3 also to the left. The spring 52 is stretched even further. If the adjusting device 6 were now moved to the right again in the other direction, that is to say in FIG. 5, the adjusting device 6 does not take the heat sink 24 with it, since these are not fixedly connected to one another. However, the spring 52 can now relax accordingly, so that the heat sink 24 moves back correspondingly with the adjusting device 6 for the adjustment 7 analog considerations apply.
As can be seen from FIGS. 3 to 5, the two adjustment devices 6, 7 are preferably designed as screws 6a, 7a which are rotatably mounted in the support body 3 in corresponding bores 3b, 3c. The screws 7a, 7a have a thread, with which they are mounted in a corresponding mating thread in the bores 3b, 3c. When the screws 6a, 7a are rotated, they then move forward in the axial direction (in the direction of the light module) or backwards (away from the latter).
The essential task of an adjusting device 6, 7 is that the heat sink can be brought into a specific position, to which the heat sink (or generally speaking the light module) then rests. For this purpose, an adjusting device must therefore be movable back and forth in a substantially rectilinear manner and be fixable in the desired position. The easiest way to implement this, as described in the figures, by the realization of a setting device in the form of a screw, although of course other, but usually more technical and difficult to use realizations (e.g., sliding bolts with locking means) are conceivable.
The screws 6a, 7a bear against a stop surface 2a of the light module 2 with a preferably flat stop region 6b, 7b (end faces 6b, 7b of the screws). The abutment surface 2a is formed by the side of the heat sink 24 facing the screws.
When the screw 6a is rotated, the light module 2 is pivoted horizontally about the vertical axis V, this axis V being formed by the ball joint 4 and the abutment region 7b of the screw 7a resting against the heat sink 24.
When the screw 7a is rotated, the light module 2 is pivoted vertically about the horizontal axis H, this axis H being formed by the ball joint 4 and the abutment region 6b of the screw 6a resting against the heat sink 24.
