The invention relates to a device with a plurality of each arranged on a support frame energy converter elements, wherein the support structures are arranged with the energy converter elements in a plurality of preferably parallel rows, between each of which a free space remains.
Due to the limited resources of fossil fuels, the use of renewable energy is becoming increasingly important. Renewables are sources of energy that either self-renew in the short-term or whose use does not contribute to the depletion of the source - these are sustainable energy resources, notably hydro, wind, solar, geothermal, and tidal energy counting. The present invention relates in particular to the use of solar energy. Solar energy converts solar energy into another energy.
Solar systems can be subdivided into three basic types according to the working principle and the energy form obtained.
Thermal solar systems provide heat energy in the low temperature range mainly for direct use in the home, e.g. through solar panels. Thermal solar power plants also provide heat, but on a larger industrial scale and usually at much higher temperatures. The heat here is mainly converted into electricity. Finally, there are the photovoltaic systems that provide electrical energy. 21/10/2011 13:31

Solar systems, such as in particular thermal solar systems and photovoltaic systems are usually designed as roof-mounted systems, building-integrated systems (so-called BIFV) or free-field systems. While in the rooftop systems and in the building-integrated systems, the output size is essentially determined by the existing building surfaces, in free-field systems also a much higher nominal power can be achieved by the installation of large areas.
In order to meet the increasingly important idea of using renewable energies, large areas of agricultural land are increasingly being used to generate energy and can therefore no longer be available for plant cultivation.
Agricultural areas are increasingly equipped with weather protection systems to make agricultural yields independent of changing weather conditions. For example, shading nets and hail and snow protection elements are known. However, the construction of such a weather protection system is extremely complicated, since the corresponding tarpaulins or nets must be stretched over large areas. It is therefore usually necessary to anchor piles, stands or other support devices in the ground at regular intervals in order to tension the weather protection elements between the individual support devices.
The present invention now aims to be able to install agricultural land for the use of renewable energy without plant cultivation being seriously affected thereby. At the same time, the construction of weather protection systems should be simplified. 21/10/2011 13:32

To achieve this object, the device of the type mentioned, which has a plurality of each arranged on a support frame energy converter elements, wherein the support structures are arranged with the energy converter elements in a plurality of preferably parallel rows, between each of which leaves a free space, according to the invention further developed in that a flexible weather protection element spanning the free space is provided between the supporting frame rows. The fact that the support structures carrying the energy converter elements are used to establish flexible weather protection elements, large agricultural areas can be used for the use of renewable energy, without causing a negative impact on crops. Rather, the use of agricultural land is preserved and even promoted by the simple integration of weather protection elements. Conversely, by integrating the energy conversion elements into a flexible weather protection system, large agricultural areas can be used for alternative energy production without negative consequences for crop cultivation.
A preferred embodiment provides that the flexible weather protection element is fastened to the mutually facing ends of two adjacent support frame rows and / or to the ends of the weather protection elements protruding from the support frames. In this case, the weather protection elements only have to span a space between two adjacent supporting frameworks, or supporting framework rows, so that the span can be minimized or the distance between two supporting framework rows can be increased with the same span of weather protection elements. This form 21/10/2011 13:32

the energy conversion elements each prefer a continuous cover between the
Weather protection elements, so that the Energiewandierelemente between the weather protection elements also take over the function of weather protection. Depending on whether the weather protection element is a sunscreen, a hail or a snow guard, the energy conversion elements must have corresponding protective properties.
If, as corresponds to a preferred embodiment, weather protection elements are used, which consist of water (rain) and air permeable materials and / or designs (eg, network structure), in the weather protection systems on the just in fruit growing necessary training of ventilation systems (forced ventilation via fans or via thermal ventilation chimneys and slits) as well as irrigation systems which are necessary when using closed systems (eg tight tarpaulins). The protection against mechanical effects which leads to the destruction or damage to the property to be protected remains in use get this form of protection,
In particular, the weather protection elements are flexible and flat, in particular net-like design. According to a preferred embodiment, the weather protection elements are designed as hail or snow protection nets.
Accordingly, it is advantageous if the energy conversion elements are also correspondingly hail resistant in order to ensure continuous over the entire agricultural area used and seamless hail protection. 21/10/2011 13:33

In order for the hail and snow protection nets to fully fulfill their protective function, they are preferably arranged so that they have a minimum inclination to the horizontal. The inclination is required so that the hail or snow that hits the net can slide off or roll accordingly and consequently the collected hail or snow collects at the lowest point of the net, where it can then fall down or be removed in a controlled manner. For this purpose, the hail or snow protection nets zigzag or V-shaped, for example. Compliance with a predetermined minimum inclination means that the distance between two adjacent holding devices can not be increased arbitrarily, especially if the usable space below the network space to allow the arrangement of tall plants, such as trees. Due to the fact that the hail or snow protection net in the invention can preferably be fastened to the laterally projecting, mutually facing parts of two adjacent shoring structures, the distance between two shoring structures can be used in comparison with a design in which no energy conversion elements are used as weather protection elements , at the same inclination of the hail or. Snow protection network can be increased.
A particularly preferred embodiment provides that the energy conversion elements are formed by photovoltaic cells. In particular, the photovoltaic cells are designed as thin-film cells. Furthermore, it is advantageous for some applications if the photovoltaic cells are at least partially permeable to solar radiation. Such semitransparent photovoltaic cells allow 21/10/2011 13:33

the passage of solar radiation, so that the underlying plants are not overly shaded.
Of course, it is also possible within the scope of the invention to use other energy converters for the use of solar energy. For example, solar collectors can be arranged instead of the photovoltaic cells. Furthermore, energy conversion elements are conceivable that make the wind energy usable. In principle, any energy converter element can be used within the scope of the invention, provided that it can be arranged on the support structures in such a way that it can either be used as weather protection itself, or if it can perform a weather protection function, in particular between the weather protection elements, by means of a suitable cover.
Particularly in the case of photovoltaic cells, it is advantageous if the energy converter elements are mounted adjustably, in particular pivotably, on the support frame. This allows alignment of the energy conversion elements to allow optimal energy usage.
Preferably, the design is such that the shoring comprises at least two stands, at least one connecting the stand crossbar and at least one arranged at the upper end of the stator, preferably laterally projecting from the stator support member to which the energy conversion element is attached · It is advantageous if the uprights have a length such that the energy conversion elements mounted on the support elements are sufficiently removed from the ground 21/10/2011 13:33

are spaced so that there is sufficient free space for crop production.
The use of the device according to the invention is not limited to the coverage of agricultural land. Rather, the invention can be used everywhere where a larger area to be protected from the influence of weather. For example, the invention can also be used in the context of weather protection systems for vehicles, preferably new cars on large parking lots.
The energy generated by means of the energy conversion elements, in particular the electrical energy, can either be supplied to consumers who are on site or can be fed into a public distribution network.
The invention will be explained in more detail with reference to an embodiment schematically illustrated in the drawing. In this is designated by 1 a weather protection system comprising a plurality of support frames 2, which are arranged in a plurality of parallel rows 3. The stands each have uprights 4, whose upper ends are connected by means of a crossbar 5. At the upper end of the stand 4 laterally projecting retaining elements 6 are arranged, which are held from below by means of a support 7. The Ha1teelernente 6 together with the crossbar 5 a support surface for photovoltaic cells 8. The holding elements 6 are in this case inclined to the horizontal, so that the alignment of the photovoltaic cells 8 is optimized with respect to the sunlight.
Between the rows of scaffolds 3 there remains a free space, which is provided by a flexible hail protection net 9 21/10/2011 13:34

is overstretched. The hail protection net 9 is in this case attached on one side to the end of the holding elements 6 or the corresponding end region of the photovoltaic cell or the photovoltaic module 8 and on the other side on the crossbar 5, whereby the hail protection net 9 spans only the space between two adjacent supporting frame rows. In other words, this means that the hail protection nets 9 spanning the adjacent free spaces are spaced apart from one another, wherein the corresponding distance from the photovoltaic cell Θ is preferably completely covered, so that overall there is a continuous hail protection. The hail protection nets 9 can be releasably secured in this case, so that they can be easily removed if necessary. Alternatively, a roll-up mechanism may be provided to allow the hail protection meshes 9 to be retracted and unrolled as needed. 21/10/2011 13:34
