The invention relates to a casing for a thermally insulated pipe with a jacket tube and an insulation enclosed by the jacket tube and having at least one annular cover associated with a jacket tube end, which is tightly connected to the jacket tube and has an opening for the tube.
Such a jacket for a thermally insulated pipe is known for example from DE 8312557 U1. This document discloses a device for closing the end of a formed by the concentric arrangement of a core tube within a tubular casing, filled with Isoliermateriai annular space. For closing an annular disc is provided, which has an outer diameter of the Kemrohres adapted inner bore and an inner diameter of the jacket tube adapted outer diameter. In the area of the outer diameter, the disc has an annular groove, in which a seal is inserted. The annular disc is provided over the region of the inner bore and on the side facing the annulus with an adhesive layer which comes against the insulating material to the plant. The annular disk is thus bonded to the insulating material and the Kemrohr. Free length changes between jacket tube, insulating material and Kemrohr at temperature differences are therefore not possible to have to accept without loosening the washer or the seal in purchasing.
The insulation of insulated pipes, is also known from WO 2008/319388 A1 with the following structure. The core is formed by a pipe carrying a heat transfer medium, which is clad by means of insulating wool or foam, 2 which insulation in turn is covered by a jacket tube, in particular an aluminum sheet cladding. In addition, these pipes and covers can be equipped with an edge or chafe protection.
Gas fiber fabric and plastic edge protection are mainly used as scuff protection between the flange covers and the pipe lining. However, they must also be sealed with a thick silicone coating. During revision work, this silicone layer should always be removed with considerable effort. In addition, a new silicone layer must always be applied when completing the revision work. The often additionally used pasty sealant causes at low ambient temperatures in terms of their rigidity problems in applying, especially because of their poor adhesion. In the case of heat, on the other hand, there is a rapid softening of the mass, which is then no longer dimensionally stable to the desired degree and thus quickly leads to leaks, especially in the case of a frequent change between low and high temperatures. Likewise, the cleaning of the sealant from the aluminum parts in revisions is associated with a great deal of time.
In order to advantageously seal the known pipes against environmental influences, it is known to seal the jacket pipes on the face side with an annular cover and to fill the transition areas between the cover and the pipe or between the cover and the jacket pipe with a sealing compound, in particular silicone-based. This is to prevent penetration of moisture into the insulation. The moisture would settle in the insulating wool or insulating foam and thus in particular lead to problems in terms of deterioration of thermal insulation properties, which should be prevented as possible. With the known materials such as Glasfaseigeweben, plastic edge protection, sealant and silicone, a permanent tightness is virtually impossible due to different thermal expansions between pipe and casing pipe and thus possibly magnifying column at the crossing points. Due to the resulting leakage problems moisture penetrates into the insulation, which is absorbed by the insulating wool or foam. Similarly, 10/10 2011/01358
Printed: 24-09-2012 2a soft from propellant, which is contained in a foam-like insulation, and which should be kept in the jacket tube, not be prevented in the desired manner. An escape of the blowing agent and a replacement by ambient air and optionally moisture also reduces the insulating effect to an undesirable extent.
For sealing flange connections, it is known (DE 21 2008 000 051 U1) to provide a seal made of a core ring made of expandable graphite, which is coated with a coating tape made of polytetrafluoroethylene. However, such sealing rings are not suitable to compensate for heat-related strains.
Based on a prior art of the pre-described type, the invention has for its object to provide a sheath for a thermally insulated pipe, which ensures a sufficient tightness between the jacket tube interior and the environment and even after a frequent change between high and low temperatures and an advantageous Handling of cover and casing for maintenance purposes, in particular a quick assembly and disassembly allowed. 3
The invention solves this problem in that the annular cover is equipped at least in the region of the opening with a seal made of a microporous fluoropolymer.
Particularly advantageous construction conditions arise when the seal consists of microporous fluoropolymer, preferably in the form of a sealing strip.
Substantial advantages in the use of the seal according to the invention are that the seal according to the invention combines a multiple function in one material, namely as edge protection, as scuff protection and as a seal. Thermal expansions are completely compensated by the foam-like structure. In addition, different expansion behavior between the pipe and jacket tube due to temperature differences and possibly also differences in the expansion coefficient, be compensated by the fact that the seal made of fluoropolymer has very good sliding properties and thus can slide at expansions and shrinkage of the tube relative to the jacket tube on the pipe, if in particular is held axially displaced in the annular cover. This can be accomplished, for example, that the seal comprises the opening for the tube on both sides of the front side. The sheath of the present invention is easily assembled and disassembled using the microporous fluoropolymer gasket. During revision work, no time-consuming cleaning work is required for the removal of sealant and silicone. The sealant of the invention is water-repellent and 100 percent UV-resistant and highly resistant to aging. The material can be used in a temperature range of -240 to + 270 ° C, at peaks up to + 300 ° C, and can expect no embrittlement in cold weather and no softening in heat. The seal according to the invention thus remains dimensionally stable over the entire field of application. In addition, the seal is chemically highly resistant, especially in the pH range of 0 to 14, except for dissolved or molten alkali metals as well as elemental fluorine at higher temperatures and pressures. 4
If the seal made of microporous fluoropolymer, this also has a high intrinsic strength, which is sufficiently dimensionally stable even under stress, especially in elongation or shrinkage and movement differences between the pipe and cover or jacket and jacket tube, held in position on the cover to be able to.
In order to meet the required properties, it is recommended that the inventive seal, in particular seal tapes according to the invention, which have a specific weight, which is in the range between 0.4 g / cm3 and 1.8 g / cm3, in particular between 0 , 6 g / cm3 and 1.6 g / cm3. Useful dimensions of the sealing tapes for functional fulfillment, is incumbent on the expert, with the practice for functional fulfillment at 1 to 40 inch pipe thicknesses of 1.5 mm to 10 mm and widths of 3 mm to 29 mm have proven particularly useful.
In addition, it is possible to provide the sealing tapes with fillers, which serve as needed to improve the pressure resistance and electrical conductivity. As fillers, for example, glass, carbon, graphite, bronze, talc, molybdenum disulfide, stainless steel and the like are used.
In the drawing, the invention is shown schematically with reference to a partially cut pipe section.
A jacket 1 for a thermally insulated tube 2 comprises a jacket tube 3 and an insulation 4 enclosed by the jacket tube 3, which is arranged in the region between jacket tube 3 and tube 2. In addition, an annular cover 6 assigned to a jacket tube end face 5 is provided, which is tightly connected to the jacket tube and to the tube 2. In addition, the annular cover 6 has a central opening for the tube 2.
In order to provide advantageous sealing conditions, the annular cover 6 is equipped at least in the region of the opening with a seal 7 made of a foamed fluoropolymer. This seal 7 is made in particular of microporous fluoropolymer and is preferably in the form of a sealing tape. A sealing tape is to be understood as an endless, circumferential seal, which is produced in one piece and divided into defined lengths and then joined together. This splitting and joining can be done at the factory or at the construction site. In the simplest case, the sealing tape is wrapped around the point to be sealed and overlap the two sealing tape ends to a certain extent to ensure the tightness.
In addition, the annular cover 6 is also associated with a seal 7 'in the region of the outer ring. This seal 7 'is used in the illustrated embodiment in a bulge 8 of the jacket tube 3. Both the seal 7 and the seal 7 'comprises the cover faces on both sides, to a certain extent 9, whereby a sufficient hold of the seal is ensured in operation. The construction shown allows an advantageous balance between expansion differences of tube 2 and casing 3, wherein the tube 2 can slide freely on the seal 7 and yet always desired tightness or sealing against the insulation against the outer casing is ensured.
