description
CLAMP ELEMENT FOR FASTENING A BOARD WITH LEDS IN A LAMP. The present invention relates to a clip element for fastening luminaire components, in particular a circuit board with LEDs, in a luminaire.
The attachment of circuit boards for LEDs, which are generally understood to be semiconductor light sources, in a lamp is particularly critical because the circuit board must have good thermal contact with lamp components that are set up for the resulting from the LEDs in a relatively small space To dissipate heat effectively. Various screw and spring connections are known in the prior art for fastening circuit boards with LEDs in a luminaire housing. However, these fastening elements are relatively complex and require a screw connection, a simple screw generally not being sufficient to elastically press the circuit board against an adjacent luminaire component. In addition to the screws, spring elements that are screwed tight are therefore also required.
The object of the present invention is to provide a particularly simple way to hold a circuit board with LEDs on a profile of a lamp or a lamp module.
The object is achieved by a clip element according to claim 1 and by a profile for a lamp or a lamp module according to claim 9.
The clip element according to the invention is specially designed to be inserted in a groove of a profile of the lamp or the lamp module and to spread out on the inner walls of the groove to fix the clip element. This type of fastening allows the clamp element to be installed without tools and can also be released again by pressing together the legs of the U-shaped curved section. Furthermore, the clip element according to the invention has a holding arm which is set up to protrude above the groove and to engage the circuit board with LEDs, which is arranged on the side of the groove, in order to hold it in place. The advantage here is that the outwardly projecting holding arm is also elastically connected to one of the legs, so that an elastic force is exerted on the board in order to press it onto the profile.
According to a preferred embodiment protruding barbs are provided on both legs, which are designed to be supported on the inner walls of the groove and to prevent movement of the clamp element against the direction of insertion into the groove. The barbs dig into the inner walls of the groove of the profile and thus hold the clamp element securely in the groove, the force which the holding arm exerts on the board runs in the opposite direction to the insertion movement, so that also through the through the holding arm applied force the clip element is not pushed out of the groove.
Preferably two barbs are provided on each of the two legs. In particular, one barb per leg can be provided at the front and rear ends of the elongated bracket element. As a result, the clamp element cannot tilt within the groove either.
The barbs are preferably formed in one piece with the spring steel sheet of the clamp element. For example, the barb can be formed by a triangular cutout from the spring steel sheet, which is bent outwards from the leg. The tip of the barb faces in the direction opposite to the base of the U-shaped section, i.e. towards the open end of the groove, to prevent movement of the clip element out of the groove.
According to a preferred embodiment, the holding arm is formed in one piece with the spring steel sheet. The holding arm can be bent by one, preferably several, angles of / 9

Patent office be formed the upper edge of the first leg. It is advantageous that the holding arm is also made of spring steel sheet, so that the holding arm itself is also elastic in order to exert a force on the board.
According to a preferred embodiment, the holding arm has at its outer end, i.e. at the end opposite the U-shaped section, an angled tongue which is designed to engage in a recess in the circuit board. This ensures positioning of the board along a direction parallel to the groove.
According to a preferred embodiment, a strip is formed on the second leg on the edge opposite the base, preferably over the entire length of the clip, which strip is designed to protrude above the groove in order to cover an adjacent cover of the lamp or the lamp module to keep. In this embodiment, the clamp element can simultaneously form the fastening for the circuit board and a lamp cover, so that no further fastening elements are necessary. The strip can e.g. B can be formed in one piece with the spring steel sheet by a simple angling, which is particularly easy to manufacture.
The invention further provides a profile of a lamp or a lamp module with at least one clamp element according to one of the embodiments, as described above, and a circuit board with LEDs, which is held by the one or more clamp elements. The board has a groove which preferably extends along an edge of a board e.g. extends straight. In this embodiment, several clip elements can be inserted in the groove to hold the profile. The opposite edge of the board can e.g. be inserted at an undercut of the profile. According to an alternative embodiment, further clip elements can also be provided in a groove on the opposite edge of the board in order to hold the board from two sides.
According to a preferred embodiment, the profile is made of aluminum, in particular of an aluminum die casting or an aluminum extruded profile. With the material aluminum, the clamp elements, particularly in the embodiment with barbs, can work well together, because aluminum is softer than the spring steel, so that the barbs can dig into the material of the profile.
According to a preferred embodiment, the holding arm exerts an elastic force on the board such that the board is pressed onto a contact surface of the profile. This creates good thermal contact between the circuit board with the heat-generating LEDs and the profile, which in one embodiment can serve as a heat sink. Electrical insulation can be provided between the contact surface of the profile and the board. Furthermore, a thermal paste can also be introduced in this area in order to improve the thermal contact.
Further features and advantages of the invention will become apparent from the following description of a preferred embodiment, which is given in conjunction with the accompanying figures, in which the following is shown:
Figure 1 [0017] Figure 2 [0018] Figure 3 [0019] Figure 4 shows a perspective view of a bracket element according to an embodiment of the invention.
shows a top view of a section of a profile of a lamp with an LED circuit board and a clip element according to FIG. 1.
shows a cross section through the profile of Figure 2 in the region of the bracket element.
shows a perspective top view of a lamp with two profiles according to FIG. 2.
The present invention relates to a clamp element, which serves as a fastening element for lighting components. Figure 1 shows the clip element 2 as an individual part. The figures
9.2
AT 15 640 U1 2018-03-15 Austrian patent office and 3 show the clip element 2 in the state installed on a profile 4 of a lamp.
The spring element made of spring steel 2 has an approximately U-shaped section which is formed from a base 6 and two legs 8 and 10. The base 6 has approximately the width of a groove 12 of the profile 4, so that the clip element 2 can be pushed into the groove 12, as shown in FIGS. 2 and 3.
On each of the two legs 8 and 10, two barbs 14 are formed in the form of an approximately triangular cutout which is bent outwards. In the installed state, the barbs 14 brace against the inner wall of the groove 12, as is shown, for example, in the cross section in FIG. 3. As a result, the clamp element is held in the groove in addition to the elastic force which is applied by the legs 8 and 10.
On one of the legs, hereinafter referred to as the first leg 8, a holding arm 16 is formed by multiple bending of the spring steel plate of the clamp element 2. The holding arm 16 serves to hold a circuit board 18, on which LEDs are arranged, on a contact surface 24 of the profile 4, as shown in FIGS. 2 and 3.
The holding arm 16 extends beyond the edge of the groove 12 and presses on the board 18. Furthermore, a tongue 17 is formed on the holding arm 16, e.g. likewise formed from the spring steel sheet in order to engage in a recess 19 in the circuit board 18 (see FIG. 2). As a result, the position of the circuit board 18 in the longitudinal direction of the groove 12 is also fixed by the fastening.
The board 18 is inserted on an opposite side of the groove 12 in an undercut of the profile 4, so that the board 18 is held on the profile 4 by the clamp element on one side and the stop on the opposite side. The circuit board 18 lies flat on a contact surface 20 of the profile 4, so that good thermal contact is formed between the circuit board 18 and the profile 4. In this embodiment, the profile 4 serves to dissipate the heat generated by the LEDs on the board 18. Electrical insulation can be provided between the circuit board 18 and the contact surface 20, and a thermal paste can be introduced in order to improve the thermal conductivity (not shown in the figures).
The bracket element 2 also has on the opposite side of the holding arm 16 on the second leg 10 a strip 22 which serves to hold a transparent cover 24 of the lamp. As can be seen in particular in FIG. 3, the strip 22 projects over an edge region of the cover 24, so that the cover 24 is held between the strip 22 and an opposite section of the profile 4. As a result, the circuit board 18 and the cover 24 can be held simultaneously with the clamp element 2.
In Figure 4, the lamp is shown as a whole. The lamp has two of the profiles described above on opposite longitudinal sides, on each of which a circuit board 18 is attached. Three of the clamp elements 2 described above are provided for each of the boards. The cover 24 is also held with the six clamp elements 2 between the grooves.
Numerous modifications to the previously described embodiment are possible without departing from the scope of the invention, which is defined by the claims. In particular, different shapes of the profiles are possible. It is also conceivable, for example, that a circuit board is held on two opposite longitudinal edges by the previously described clamp elements.
Furthermore, the shape of the bracket elements is not limited to the illustrated embodiment, in particular, the holding arm can be bent by fewer bends, for. B may be formed by a straight arm running obliquely to the surface of the circuit board.
