    The invention relates to horn caps (1), made of plastic, POM, PP or wood, for the horns of animals, especially those of cattle. When placed, the shape is hemispherical at the top (2).     Description HORN HEADINGS FOR HEARTS OF BOVINE.
    The invention relates to horn caps for the horns of animals, especially those of cattle. They serve the protection of humans and animals from puncture wounds of the pointed horns of the animals. They are made of plastic, for example POM, PP or wood.
    Protection against puncture injuries by the pointed horns of the animals were published, for example, in German Patent DE 517864 C. These horn caps made of rubber are fixed with a chain. A disadvantage here proves to be the soft rubber that can be pierced by the pointed horn and the fixation with a chain that guarantees no secure grip and can be demolished by contact of the animal, for example, with a gate or fence. In addition, it is expensive to install. Another common species to protect against the horns of the animals is the dehorning. However, this method is not accepted by all farmers because it causes pain and stress to the animal.
    The invention is therefore an object of the invention to provide effective protection against the sharp horns of the animals and to protect the animals from pain and stress. This is inventively achieved by the characterizing features of claim 1.
    The invention will now be explained with reference to an embodiment which is shown schematically in the drawings.
    Fig. 1 shows a hemispherical horn attachment with the hole for a tapping screw.
    Fig. 2 shows the sectional view of the horn caps which can be optionally or additionally secured with a tapping screw.
    Fig. 3 shows the horns on the horns of an animal.
    The horn caps (1) have in the mounted state above a hemisphere (2). As a result, when the animals hit the horns, the contact surface is increased many times over. For humans and animals, this significantly reduces the risk of injury from stitches with the horns. The horn attachments (1) are glued on using standard assembly adhesive. The glue is inserted between horn and horn attachment. Optionally or additionally, the horn attachments (1) can be screwed to the horn tip with a sheet metal screw (3). This is for additional attachment. For this purpose, the horn caps on a bore (4) for the screws (3).
