Description [0001] This invention is a device integrated into a slitter for automatically applying adhesive to sleeves and web rolls. The affected slitter is more precisely a slitter with a winding bed.
A slitter with a winding bed is a special slitter that is used for cutting satin and / or coated paper with high weight. From the material web to be cut, smaller paper rolls are produced with the aid of two rotating rolls in such a way that the adjacent rolls are wound on different, opposite winding rolls.
When slitting web rolls the mother roll is first rolled, after which the wide web is cut using multiple pairs of blades in partial webs. The partial webs are rolled up in the winding station to sleeves acting as roll cores to customer roles. When finished, the slitter is stopped and the finished paper rolls are removed. New sleeves are placed in the winder, on which in turn material webs are rolled up.
Previously, the fixation of the beginning of the web to the sleeve and its end to the finished rolled paper roll manually with the help of adhesive tape, by stapling o. Ä. performed. Today, however, efficiency is required at every stage of the process, and efforts are being made to automate the processes involved. In this context, an attempt is being made to retrofit existing systems with automatic gluing processes, thereby extending their service life. The key challenges in modernizing older equipment are space, outdated logic, and low-performance applications.
Several solutions for the automatic distribution of adhesive on webs of material are known from the prior art. However, these can not be installed in the affected type of slitters due to lack of space. From the publications FI64114, FI65554 and FI69617 solutions are known in which adhesive is sprayed onto the web from the openings of pipes which cover the entire width of the web. However, the simple solutions are problematic in maintenance.
The publication EP0442038 describes an automated reel change solution in which adhesive tapes are glued across the material web on both sides of its interface. The attachment of the adhesive tape is made with the same device with which the web interface is also perforated.
From DE20015032 U1 a method is known in which glue nozzles are integrated into the movable perforating unit. The web speed during the process is quite high, which is why the apparatus in Bahnverlaufsrichtung about one meter and vertical about 1/2 meter space claimed. This is not a problem with new slitter rewinders, but retrofit systems usually do not provide the required space.
In US5213649 a solution is described in which two glue nozzles apply two mutually parallel adhesive lines transverse to the course of the web. Connected to them is a laser cutter, which cuts through the material web.
The publication GB2061234 describes a solution for gluing the tail, in which the Klebementsaufbringkopf moves at a steep angle with respect to the movements of the tail and transverse to the web direction. By adjusting the speeds of the tail and application head, an adhesive line running transversely to the trajectory end is generated. However, this solution is designed for gluing tail ends of finished rolled paper rolls in a separate station where the roll is rotated on rolls. Thus, both space and time are available and the circumstances otherwise differ fundamentally from those in which the gluing process in the
Roll cutting machine is performed. In addition, when transporting rollers with loose ends easily caused interference.
In FI91054 a method for automatically severing the web is explained, in which a bonding process is integrated. The process is complicated and maintenance technically problematic.
The publication FI100024 represents the orders of adhesive during the web movement together with the possibility of cleaning the application head. However, the maintenance of the system is difficult to perform in a secure manner.
Publication Fl 121305 describes a method in which the adhesive is applied to the web surface during a slowdown of the web. Thus, the glue line is applied substantially transverse to the web. The speed control during the deceleration phase is complicated.
The invention provides a solution by which advantages are achieved in the retroactive integration of adhesive devices in existing slitter cutting machines. Working hours are saved during operation and the set change time is shortened. The device can be made so compact that it can also be physically inserted into the tightness of old slitter cutters. Especially in winder with a winding bed, it is difficult to find space for adhesive applicators and their feeding hoses and cables. The maintenance of such systems is difficult.
The invention is characterized in that the application device consists of: a carriage which moves on rails which are installed substantially in the subspace between winding carriage and protective fence, preferably substantially at ground level; ] - An applicator attached to the carriage from its underside and equipped with adhesive nozzles and movement organs that allow the movement of the adhesive nozzles across the direction of travel of the carriage. In the following the invention will be explained in more detail, with reference to the attached drawings.
Fig. 1 illustrates the Klebeaufbringvorrichtung in an embodiment of the invention according to position in handling a web roll of 1500 mm diameter in side view. For reasons of clarity, only one of the security fences is shown.
Figure 2 illustrates the Klebeaufbringvorrichtung in the same embodiment of
Invention according to position when handling a web roll of 900 mm diameter in side view.
Figure 3 illustrates the Klebeaufbringvorrichtung in the same embodiment of
Invention according to position when handling a web roll of 600 mm diameter in side view.
Figure 4 illustrates the suspension of the hoses / cables of Klebeaufbringvor direction according to a further embodiment of the invention in the direction of travel of the web.
There are 2 Klebeaufbringvorrichtungen 3, 3 ', one on each side of the winding station. With these, the adhesive is automatically applied to the surface of the web rolls 1 and sleeves 2. This is done substantially parallel to the longitudinal axis of the web rolls and sleeves so that the adhesive extends substantially over the entire width of each web and sleeve. The adhesive application apparatus consists of: a carriage 4 which moves in rails 5 which are installed substantially in the subspace between winding carriage 10 and protective fence 13, preferably substantially at ground level, an applicator 3 which attached to the slide 4 from its underside and with
Adhesive nozzles 8a, 8b and is equipped with movement organs that allow the movement of the adhesive nozzles transversely to the direction of the carriage. This movement is necessary because the distance between the nozzle and the application point may not exceed 200 mm and the diameters of web rolls are different and typically between 600 - 1500 mm. In its preferred embodiment, the applicator is connected by a hinge 7 to the carriage 4. The known drives of the movement organs, such as geared motor and crank mechanism, are not described. In a further embodiment of the invention, a linear motion module is additionally attached to the upper side of the applicator 18, with which one achieves essentially a parallel movement to the roller tangent. The interaction of the movement organs allows the application of the adhesive line in an optimal position with respect to the tail.
The applicator is viewed from the longitudinal direction of movement on one side of an adhesive nozzle 8a, with the adhesive is applied to the surface of which is located in the dispenser 12 of the sleeve magazine sleeve 2, and on the other side a second adhesive nozzle 8b, with the Adhesive is applied to the surface of the held by the support arms 11 web roll 1. In a preferred embodiment, the applicator makes the first sideways movement already during the reeling, wherein the adhesive is applied to the sleeve. Thereafter, when the roll rotation stops, the applicator can apply the adhesive to the web 1 on its return. The applicator is equipped with sensors 9a, 9b, which detect the position of the web roll during the carriage movement and thus determine the application of the adhesive substantially over the web width.
The adhesive devices 14, 14 'are shown in Figure 4 on the sides of the winder, preferably substantially at ground level. The supply of movement of the hoses / cable 15 is ensured by lifting at least one loop next to the slitter. Thus, the height of a loop is substantially sufficient to carry out a double horizontal longitudinal movement of the applicator. The suspension of the loop is preferably accomplished by means of a counterweight (16). The suspension can also be done with the help of a piston rodless pneumatic cylinder. The monitoring of the hoses / cables is done by controls 17, 17 '. In a further embodiment of the invention, the controls 17 are incorporated in an auxiliary rail or a lever, which allows the movement of the control in the direction of movement of the applicator.
In the context of the same inventive idea, other embodiments are possible.
